Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

DAI would wander the grounds a bit, wondering if he wanted to see SARA tonight or tomorrow, he eventually decides to wait until tomorrow's light. Eventually he would head out, stopping by to window shop at the alchemical items shoppe where he once was an apprentice, and heads home to identify his circlet and retire for the night.

JACK: VIL asks you if you'd like to head over to his place to find out what your amulet is, assuming you might go out to the tavern after a little while and leave him to get some rest.

DAI: You don't notice Sara around anywhere inside the lower sections of the palace or in the gardens when you walk through. DAI, the clerk at the alchemist's shop seems happy to see you and waves through the window, though he is currently helping a set of customers.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

VIL gets to work while JACK takes a bit of a rest. An hour later, it turns out JACK's amulet is an Amulet of Mighty Fists +1.

VIL tells JACK to have fun tonight, and that he'll see him on board the ship tomorrow morning.

It is now 6pm. All of you are identifying your items (except VIL, who is doing that now). SEAN won't be at the Rare Goose until at least 8pm. Pretty much every shop in town is still open.

Zeig wanders over to the weapon/armor shop.

"Hello.  I'd like to speak with the owner or manager about a sale."

The adolescent boy staffing the counter of the public armorer you enter nods and walks into the back. A consistent sound of metal hammering metal stops, and a huge man in thick leather overalls, face covered in soot, enters the show room to greet you.

"What may I do you for, sir?"

"Good evening, sir.  I'd like to know if you would be interested in some additional weapons and armor, indeed, they are the work of a master craftsman.  I've recently come into a moderate supply that I would like to put up for sale.  I have 40 longswords and 20 breastplates, all in good shape and of excellent quailty."

"I assume you're asking standard price? It might take me a while to find a buyer for that many items, so I'm not too keen on haggling. When can you bring by a sample or the entire stock itself?"

"Standard price sounds fair to me, as I would like to enjoy the space in my cargo hold once again.  The stock is currently on my ship in the harbor, so I could get a sample to you as early as tomorrow morning.  After seeing the quality we can surely make arrangements to move the rest of the inventory.  I shall see you on the 'morrow, then?"

Zeig stops by Dai's house and knocks on the door.

When (and if) he comes to the door, Zeig will ask for a chocobo.

"It looks as if we'll be able to sell of the excess weaponry we took from Rockwood.  I need to get a sample from the ship in order to seal the deal though, would you mind summoning a chocobo for me?  I'd rather not be mucking around out there at midnight."

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

DAI: Assuming you summoned a chocobo for ZEIG.

ZEIG: You got your bird, and were able to head out to the docks and grab a breastplate and two swords, and are now back in town

LOGG: You've been wandering around town all day. This is the first time in quite a few years that you've been in a city. If you'd like to RP out anything let me know. (Picking pockets, going to jail, getting executed, etc...)

It is 8pm, and SEAN will probably be at the Rare Goose before too much longer. It seems VIL and maybe even a couple of the others are just going to stay in and take it quietly tonight.

DAI would offer the chocobo to ZEIG, glad to help in moving the gear. After this DAI will ponder for a few moments, before heading out to wander the streets with no real goal in sight, eventually migrating to the Rare Goose for the sake of having nothing else to do.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

LOGG: It's a very safe thing to say that this is the largest settlement you've ever been inside of. Cornelia has a fairly consistent architectural style that favors broad streets. The districts of the city seemed to be identified by their central fountains. The more ornate and grand the district's fountain, the more prestige that comes to everything inside of it.

DAI/JACK/ZEIG: You all stroll down to the Rare Goose. SEAN doesn't seem to be there yet, but you all meet up within 30 minutes of one another. The Rare Goose looks to be the worst tavern in the best part of town, which is to say it is still fairly nice. It is moderately sized and cozy.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

The three of you get a table together as the bar is full. There are about 16 other people in the building and a small, movable stage is present with single chair upon it. A busy-looking young man comes over to you with a wooden bin full of dirty glasses under one arm. "What're you havin'?"

[Private to LOGG: Did you want to do anything in particular while you wander around town, or just walk around on the streets and see what there is to see?]

After meeting up with JACK and ZEIG, DAI takes the initative for a change, and enters the Tavern, even if they did not meet with SEAN, DAI had never actually dined here before. DAI would request something light, like a fruit salad or something of that caliber of food. He also asks for a bottle of wine, deciding to give it a shot for tonight.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

The young man nods and assumes JACK will partake in some of the wine his two companions have ordered. "Be back with that salad and three bottles of the house special."

DAI's salad is somewhat fresh, is cool, and is generally satisfying. The house special is a sweet red concoction. Rather alcoholic.

SEAN walks through the door when DAI is finishing up his meal. He waves at the three of you, and walks down the line of people at the bar shaking hands and being merry. By the time he makes it to the table he's got a mug in each hand.

"Does this fourth seat belong to me?"
