DAI looked at JACK's nimble flips, before firing off a blast of magical stones aiming for Sahuagin 1, hoping JACK would have one less nuissance to worry about.

09:38, Today: DAI rolled 14 using 2d12+7. stone(PBS) damage, sahuagin 1.
09:37, Today: DAI rolled 18 using 1d20+5. Stone(RTA)(PBS) Sahuagin 1.

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

DAI's stones slam into the sahuagin which shrieks and drops its trident, bearing its teeth at JACK.

The marine near the helm lets a bolt out at the Baron, but it doesn't pierce its skin. Another bolt flies down from the crow's nest, but meets much the same problem.
11:44, Today: teslas rolled 16 using 1d20. marine xbow vs. Baron.
11:46, Today: teslas rolled 13 using 1d20. marine xbow vs. Baron.

The armored marine that cut down the Prince plants his sword deeper into the Prince's body.
11:47, Today: teslas rolled 18 using 1d20+6. marine longsword vs. baron.Oops, JACK was there.
11:53, Today: teslas rolled 8 using 1d8+3. damage.

It very nearly dies.

The unarmored marine's attempt with his crossbow near the SW staircase doesn't fare any better, nor does the marine's standing on top of the fore half-castle.
11:48, Today: teslas rolled 6 using 1d20. xbow vs. Baron.
11:49, Today: teslas rolled 14 using 1d20. marine xbow vs. Baron.

The marine on the cannon deck runs up the stairs and completely misses the huge thing, nearly firing directly at JACK.
11:50, Today: teslas rolled 18 using 1d20. confirm.
11:50, Today: teslas rolled 1 using 1d20. same.

DUNN approaches sahuagin #9 and swings his longsword.

11:55, Today: teslas rolled 24 using 1d20+7. DUNN lsword vs. #6. (meant #9)

Sahuagin #9 turns to meet the last person that injured it, slashing him horribly.
11:59, Today: teslas rolled 6 using 1d4+2. bite damage.

11:59, Today: teslas rolled 15 using 1d20+8. talon 1 vs. DUNN.

The Baron, still wincing expecting its own life to end instead of the rocks hitting Sahuagin #1, laughs wildly before diving overboard back into the ocean, not to be seen again. Withdraw action.

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

DUNN yells out, "Anyone have medical training? Get our White Mage up!" while cutting the head off of sahuagin #9 between him and LOGG.

#6's labored breathing stops. It gurgles for a few seconds before the blue-green blood erupting from its wounds stops flowing.

The elf leaps up over the banister and onto the deck and strides over to ZEIG while stowing his bow, taking a knee. He then removes some bandages from underneath his cloak. Sahuagin #1 takes a swipe at him as he passes, but the elf seems just as adept at evading attacks as LOGG, despite being twice the size.

LOGG, your turn. Again, we're preserving initiative for a reason. There's lots of dying folk.

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

Alright, you guys managed to not bork that up, good. Combat is over.

DAI uses his potion he had at the ready on the more injured marine, stopping the bleeding completely. It looks as if he'll wake up tomorrow.

ZEIG casts Cure on the stable marine. He wakes up and is able to walk.

After a few more moments making sure there aren't more sahuagin climbing up the sides of the boat, the situation calms down.

There are several dead sahuagin on board including the body of the Prince.

One marine lays dead, cut in half. VIL's body lies mangled and crumpled near the NE staircase. There is an unconscious sailor in the captain's cabin, though if the poison is anything like what DAI or the first sailor experienced he should be fine within 36 hours.

The elf remains silent as he makes his way from sahuagin to sahuagin making sure they are dead.

VIL will not collect EXP for this encounter, and as such he has not been included in the experience point tallies. If you're curious about this it will become clear soon enough.

GERY, DUNN, and the 8 remaining marines all gain 700 EXP.

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

DAI begins the twenty minute process of combing through the dead sahuagin's bodies.

You find eight tridents, four of which seem to have some sort of decorative pearl or coral inlays. You find five sets of leather armor, one on each of the slightly larger sahuagin and one set on the prince, though it'd have to be modified quite a bit for humans to wear it.

The prince also has a scroll bundled up in its belt. When you unfurl it, it appears to be made out of some kind of rubbery leather and on it is tattooed a magical spell: Water. The staff he dropped to the deck is when he died is very ornate.

On the body of the prince you find a small sack of gemstones, and three of sahuagin with the more ornate tridents had a few tiny gemstones on them.

Pssst. LOGG, help him.

LOGG, you find a tiny earring pinned into the fronds of the prince's ear that DAI seemed to overlook. It looks pretty similar to yours.

The elf, upon seeing DAI and LOGG a couple minutes into their work, walks over to one of the royal guards. With a bit of an accent, "They swallow them sometimes, if you're willing to get more of this blue filth on your deck." He gashes its neck open, where there appears to be a slight bulge. A few fish skulls and a few more gemstones come oozing out.
