Re: 12:30pm Darksday, 8th week 852

Before sitting down to eat, GRIM hands his boarding ring to ZEIG and tells everyone that he thinks he's going to head back to Elfheim. He doesn't want to abandon you, but the undead, ancient myths, and all of this traveling simply isn't for him. He asks if he can still share a few mugs of ale with you tonight, and will most gladly still take you up on your offer of ferrying him back across the Aldi whenever that may be if it still stands.

RAIF informs GRIM that there is a caravan scheduled to arrive next week that would be more than happy to take him along that will swing by Elfheim a couple of weeks later as one of its stops. He was already planning on going with them himself.

GRIM requests that he is able to keep his amulet that he obtained as a keepsake. You guys have more of these you're not using anyway.

What GRIM is leaving behind for the party:
68.5 lbs of Alchemy Supplies.
70 lbs of assorted bent and mostly ruined gold and silver dinnerware.
DAI appraised these to be worth between 2,250 and 3,000gp if simply melted down.
Boarding Ring
2x Cure potions

I'll leave ZEIG to handle selling our unnecessary junk. I personally think our dumb fighter should wear the ring but...we're losing him pretty soon so yeah >.>

DAI feels a little more at ease, deciding maaybe all halflings are not murderous thieves. He may have found a bit more of a voice, but he still is not big on celebrations, making a short appearance before either sticking to a corner or just waiting in his room(or tent, whatever was provided). The next day he asks around about wands, possibly recruiting ZEIG to track any down, along with tents, cabins, and similar items.

If no one objects:

Zeig takes the Boarding Ring from Grim and nods to him.  "Not everyone is cut out for this lifestyle, it's not your quest.  Thank you for your help, you've been a good friend."

Zeig takes off his own Boarding Ring and hands one to Dai and one to Sili.  "You guys should hold onto these if you have room."  He then slides the angel ring onto his finger, content knowing if they are put to sleep he can wake the party up quickly.

He then heads off to see about unloading some silver and gold. (dinnerware)
23:30, Today: ZEIG rolled 6 using 1d20+4. Gather Information. lol

DAI doesn't have an open slot for a ring, though I guess he doesn't really need to wear the Diplomant's ring, never know when that 1 MP makes the difference...like against the giant >.> That being said, I'll carry one in case we get separated and I want you to know my HP.

Re: 7:30am Firesday, 8th week 852

SILI, With RAIF's help, is able to find someone that is interested in the lumps of gold and silver. It's a rather aged halfling, apparently a craftsman of some kind. He's willing to pay you 2,000gp for the lot of it as raw precious metal, citing how carrying it around, melting it down, and then selling it in raw form is not simple in these parts.

DAI asks around a few times before sleeping but doesn't find anyone that sells what he is looking for. In the morning, however, two halfling brothers approach after hearing someone was looking and are willing to trade in magical tents and simple potions. Their prices are 10% higher than standard, and they seem pretty resolute about it.

ZEIG gets a little tipsy during dinner and ends up talking to a halfling-shaped tree branch for fifteen minutes. There is a bit of merriment at his expense.

SILI, just going to assume you play Ballad every night, and if people are missing HP, Paeon as well.
13:21, Today: teslas, on behalf of SILI, rolled 19 using 1d20+12. Perform (V) Ballad.

The Firesday sun is pleasant and warm. The ground in the forest begins the day-long process of drying.

The three of you, as well as GRIM, are welcomed back to the longhouse for a small and fast breakfast which is a hell of a lot more appealing than trail rations. This is also where you're talking to the old halfling craftsmen and the two brothers.

He'll also accept the boarding ring and put it on.

DAI, after some thought, will decide to buy 4 tents(for 660 gil unless ZEIG or SILI can diplomacy them down), from his own pocket since generally he needs their benefits the most.

The old halfling hands SILI 175 platinum pieces and 250 gold pieces. (weighing 8.5 lbs. This currency does weigh something.)

DAI purchases the tents. The brothers let you know they're already selling them to you for as cheap as they can as thanks for returning their grain stores.

Re: 8:00am Firesday, 8th week 852

SILI is able to track down a mostly-blind and deaf old man after breakfast. Yelling at him in Halfling for nearly fifteen minutes, they are able to secure a trade for the most worn and well-traveled collection of magical leather any of you have ever seen. He wants 2,000gp for it, as well as help moving into his new single-floor house that he's going to buy. Telling him you're on a mission to save the world doesn't seem to make much difference, and anything not having directly to deal with the haversack or his new house threatens sending him off on a minutes-long rambling story about his younger days.

If I had the time, I'd have you guys roll strength and Balance checks to see how m any things you dropped and whatever else, but I do not.

I am assuming you simply hand the money you got from the merchant over to the old man, and are now in possession of a third haversack that DAI is going to wear.

Make all appropriate modifications to your posts and then get this boat to float.

DAI, SILI, and ZEIG go the cheapskate route and help him, instead of hiring others to do so. The guy's halflings so his stuff is like half weight(quarter for some even iirc). Afterward, since no one seemed to have an issue, they use the money from selling that silver and gold that DAI had appraised to pay for the haversack, which now holds all their alchemical supplies.

Re: 8:00am Watersday, 8th week 852

Two days go by while resting in the village. Life here in the last few days has been serene, but the thought of the forest beyond filled with imps and giants as well as a slew of wildlife that would love to eat any passing halfling creeps back in, ruining it occasionally.

The Watersday sun is gentle yet warm. There are no seasons here, per se, but it is getting nearer the slightly warmer part of the year.

The group of you pack up and begin your goodbyes.

DAI makes a chocobo for each of them, using his circlet for one. "Hmm...how well is this going to go? We're down to a couple mages and a Bard..." DAI sighed, seeming still upset over JACK and...whatshisname, Red Mage 2. He sets off, continuing their path into Drow territory, wondering if that nameless Giant was going to show again anytime soon...and seriously hoping not.

21:30, Today: DAI rolled 27 using 1d20+15. craft(alch) day 2. Haste.
21:29, Today: DAI rolled 22 using 1d20+15. craft(alch) day 1. Haste.

Zeig wanders off with the party, seeming less numb than he has for a while since the death of his comrades. "I want to see this with my own eyes, and apparently I have to drudge through Drow country to do it. We'll make do, somehow. There's no other choice."
