Re: OOC: Everything Else

Odd. Seems like it'd be more fun to roll more dice, not to mention it introduces the negative damage modifier problem at times.

At any rate, take your damn turn if you're online.

Garus:
Almost every DM I have ever had just multiplies the roll vice rolling more its a very common house rule.

Strange, almost ever DM I encounter either prefers rolling them all out(as do I), or doesn't care and lets each individual player choose how to do it(like average HP vs rolling)

Re: OOC: Everything Else

Post updated, I have Steady Concentration and it could just 5ft step to full-attack me anyways so I may as well get a better angle.

Just reiterating that I'll cast Ice Armor if attscked, the Hardness should be enough to protect me from the 1d3 tentacles

Do not make fun of the 1d3 damage with a +7 modifier. Given 50 or 60 rounds they could kill all of you.

Recently I've found out that not rolling dice is fun. I might be playing more spellcasters from now on.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

Am I able to tumble while prone? I don't mean the epic stand check, but the ability to use the tumble skill while prone to roll away at half speed without provoking AoOs.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

As per my understanding, you can roll a Tumble check at any time that you move, whether it be in the middle of movement from a Jump check, or simply walking, or whatever else. The only limitation/requirement is that you are not being slowed by medium or heavy armor.

Crawling
You can crawl 5 feet as a move action. Crawling incurs attacks of opportunity from any attackers who threaten you at any point of your crawl.

So it's an entire Move action to crawl 5' while prone. If you wanted to Tumble, you'd have to do accelerated tumbling, which is kinda funny sounding, but you can do it at a -10 penalty, DC 15 (and +2 per extra enemy).

If you wanted to spend two Move actions, you could do Tumble 5' without the -10 penalty. This probably isn't strictly RAW, but I'd allow it.

I guess this is you just rolling away like a little kid down a big hill... but all like... gracefully... or something.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

How much longer are they asleep for? Sleepga's duration is only 4 rounds at this level, but it does look like MILO is about to make the first CDG.

EDIT: Do these things have acidic blood by chance? Just wondering since their natural attacks are doing elemental damage, so if MILO bit into its throat and got a mouth full of acid...

1: You're supposed to remember that you bastard D:  (Round 7, Count 11)

2: No, they don't seem to have acidic blood. It's greenish-blue, though.

Does lullaby have a specified duration?

Re: OOC: Everything Else

It does. Three rounds.

In fact all bard songs with maybe one exception last either 3 Rounds or Concentration + 3 Rounds.

edit-
To expand upon that:

I think this is poorly labeled because the class is not "finished", but most vocal songs (which are your party buffs like Minne or Prelude) are a swift action to concentrate upon.

So you could cast one of those the first round of combat, and keep it going ad infinitum. in addition to rotating through three other songs or sleeping enemies or whatever.

Mazurka is an odd one in that it's the only instrumental buff song. Most are vocal.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

I'll have JAGA delay his initiative in 12 hours from now if he's not posted. Unless my math is way off (it very well may be), that will have been 24 hours, and it won't cost him to lose an action between the crawlers.

Also, remember, kids, bonus EXP if you text me after your post.

I am about to pass out. ZEIG said he wanted to Basuna JAGA's problems away using his daily ability to give him +Fort saves.

Garus, if you want to post your action before ZEIG, please do so.

ZEIG, if you log on before I post your action, please do it.

K, time for a long and HARD nap.

The wording for the status "Paralyzed" says I can take purely mental actions. so does this mean I could delay my turn?

I believe the GM has ruled in favor of this before, but I couldn't say for sure so really this post didn't accomplish anything...

It seems that by "nap" I meant "sleep for 12.5 hours". Oops.

JAGA:

Yes, you can. Sorry, I should have given you the option to do so, or probably even assumed you'd want to do it. For the previous round where you got "skipped", you'll get 35 bonus EXP.

edit- number corrected

By the way, ZEIG is leading the race in texting me after his moves, with three times. In a close second is everyone else, tied at zero.

I'll try to remember more often, to be fair I sort of forgot about that all when I got my new phone...kept forgetting I didn't have your number in it so I finally got it from Zeig.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

Jaga, this works out well for you. As a rule we have adopted whenever you roll something with the wrong modifier instead of applying the new modifier to what you rolled, we reroll with the new modifier. Hopefully that will let you get some better rolls, cause the ones you had are crap.

Also, I gave you a +5 to fortitude saves last turn if you think trying to get up is worth it with that in mind.

This is correct. The only exception is when you just roll a straight d20 and say something like "I have no idea what the modifier would be" and leave me to figure it out. Please don't do this unless it's some sort of odd situation, and you must still label what you're trying to do in the dice roller (and make the "¯\(°_o)/¯" or whatever in OOC orange after it).
