Re: OOC: Everything Else
Hmmm... We could also have the guy make a character, and have one of us four play it until the 17th. I mean, he has experience in 3.5 and all the relevant classes, he seems polite, and he likes final fantasy. If no one steps up as a 4th, then I think this might be a good compromise. Of course, one person would have to role play someone else's character, which may be a little difficult.
of the 3 options, 1 and 2 will keep us closer to the flavor of final fantasy. Still, it might be worthwhile to play test what needs to be adjusted for groups lower number of players. I think we have more to learn that way, so if no one steps up and we don't let him make a character a month in advance, I think that might be the best option.
Or we could do both. Have him make his character, but have him be separated from Sara, Jack, Dai and Vil at a young age. So we have working knowledge of our last friend, and leave the stage open for him (or if he has to back out for some reason, someone else) to make last minute changes when he's finally got the time to play. Until then, we play as a 3-man party.
