DAI:
My bad, the one time I cast Fire II this fight the damage and save DC should have been 2 lower, forgot to apply the day's weaknesses(doubled thanks to my pendant)

I noticed on my cell phone and then forgot to edit your post when I got home. I took both of those into account, and the situation where it ran away remains unchanged. Thank you for going back and changing it now.

Ha, I actually ended up dealing 2 MORE damage

15:16, Today: DAI rolled 41 using 3d12+14. Fire II rerolled damage.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

One crawler is pretty much already gone, another is running away. #6 is sleeping, and you guys can ready all sorts of actions and Garus can give it a solid CDG. DAI can seal the deal if it lives through that. Since he's about to level up his MP use to do it doesn't really matter.

So if any two of you say so, we can end combat here as the situation is pretty well contained.

I just wanted to give you guys a chance to, if you wanted, have the option to chase down the other crawler or fuck with the alive one or something else that I can't read your minds about.

It's not in a deep slumber, the moment Garus or Jaga get close to it it will wake up (so no CDG).

Ah, good point there, but you could ready an action to try to Lullaby it again if that happens. It may not work, but it might.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

I have one more round of Mighty strikes anyway so I dont need to CDG I get a crit for a basic attack anyway. So I could charge throw caution to the wind and Point 6's face.

I dont really care about chasing down the living ones if they arn't attacking us they are defeated lets just move on. Kill 6 would be my plan. If im still hasted ill move and attack if not just charge 6 when the time comes.

Between Garus, Jaga and Dai I think this thing's going to die whatever I do. Dai's actually probably the best one to finish it off, since a touch attack against a sleeping foe is almost guaranteed to hit.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

DAI, SILI, and ZEIG have leveled up.

Once you are done updating your character sheet, please send me a PM with a link to your character sheet and a brief summary of what changed about your character.

And a reminder: you're hitting level 8, so you can retrain an aspect of your character if you choose. Check inside of this post for info: link to a message in this game

I'm sitting here at my apartment by myself at the moment, though this may change. If it does not, we'll move along tonight.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

I'm also tallying up the text history for this fight now. It's not going to be the difference for anyone, so I'm going to keep track of it and then give it out as one big lump after another encounter or three, or if it is enough to level someone up.

edit-
And Garus/SILI, if you don't have my number, PM me.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

It's pretty much up to DAI if he wants them or not. ZEIG is leaving the Craft (alchemy) business. The acid glands in of themselves are probably not something you just want to carry around with you.

This also means you'd have to prepare or process them sooner than later, which means hanging out here for a little while longer.

So yeah, DAI, if you want them, I can have everyone optimally roll the situation out.

I'd like to harvest them yes, but need a survivalist to begin the process...and risk their fingertips for me.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

ZEIG is full-up on mana, and you guys are level 7 and 8, so I don't think there's a whole lot of "risk" involved unless you try to harvest these glands with explosive scalpels that are sharp on both ends.

And if that happens, you deserve it.

edit-
I just checked the time, damn. I need to head to bed before work early in the morning. When I get a chance to post we'll harvest the sacks unless someone has posted objections.

For the record, Sili's not putting his hand inside a spider crawler. Just sayin'. No other objection.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

You can still use Cheer, because of your gay-ass class.

Garus and JAGA are going to do the dirty work. DAI and SILI are going to offer advice.

Garus/JAGA are the "base" roll. The lesser of JAGA/Garus is DC 10 for +2. DAI auto-succeeds his DC 12 Craft (alch) check for +2, and SILI auto-succeeds for +2 more. ZEIG just kind of stands around and watches.

It will take two minutes per crawler. Taking 10 is not statistically advantageous, so we'll not even go there.

Making the post now.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

Somebody add the things to your inventory (be sure to post it as well), and we'll move on along. Due to the potentially damning nature of carrying around 28d6 points of acidic death contained in severed and potentially unreliable freshly hewn, slippery, wet sacks, I am not wanting to assume anything.

They are four pounds each, as stated in the IC thread, so 16 pounds total.

edit-
Or, of course, you can just hang out here and let DAI play chemistry nerd super-virgin immediately. It's pretty early in the adventuring day to be making camp, but you guys are grown ass men that do what they want. I ain't nobody's daddy.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

Actually, Zeig does carry empty flasks on him. There are two listed in the party inventory thread (3 lbs.) and they are listed on his character sheet as well. The timestamp for Zeig's party inventory is from November 29th. He would offer Dai a few, and because I wasn't allowed to retrain all of my craft (alchemy) points this level I could still attempt to assist since it isn't brewing a potion, modifier is +7 without a lab.

I prefer us not setting up camp here and Zeig is certainly not going to be the one carrying the gunk.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

Right, sorry for the poor job of describing the situation on my part. I meant to say that the blanket "alchemy supplies" does not contain flasks. I mentioned them in the first place because you had some, and that they were a finite resource.

With four people already involved in the process, a fifth is starting to verge on the too many cooks in the kitchen problem. If these were size Large, then totally. Also, the party already absolutely smashed the DC 25 check regardless.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

I've begun this:
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=274142

This way all of the small changes we've made can be seen in one place. The information will also be in a public place as opposed to on a couple harddrives that can be lost.

And SILI can finally have his class actually defined.

Finally, the main reason I'm doing this now is that I can do giant in the playgrounds while at work, for some reason. rpol, however, is inaccessible. No telling what happened there.

This is what I'll be spending a lot of time on until it's finished. I recently lost a harddrive and the reality-check of losing everything was terrifying. Luckily I keep triplicate backups of anything I feel is important, but if someone broke into my house and stole my laptop and my jump drive(s) sitting right next to it, it'd all be gone.

You might tell those guys that it's a blend of FF1 and FFXI style, cause he's definitely got a point on the sorcerer vs. MP system. Since you're building it on a forum you're going to get people popping in to critique it.

Re: OOC: Everything Else

I don't mind people throwing their words up. The more replies it has the more important it looks. As more flavor and fluff is added the fact that it borrows heavily from FFXI (because that was the first and only, ONLY, multiplayer FF game ever made).

What I do mind is the type of asshole that has nothing to add, and tells you what forum you meant to put your stuff in.
