The party searches through the bodies of the dead, collecting weapons for the blacksmith in the village. After you dump all the coins in a pile and count them up, the party has:

48 gold
109 silver
222 copper

11 poor quality Longswords
4 poor quality Battle axes
14 poor quality Medium metal shields

Re: 1372: The Year of Wild Magic: Day 213-226

You all go and clean an old tower and you end up upsetting the Lord of a town. Why am I not surprised? And Lord Dhelt didn't help because he needs proof before sending an army up there to help. We need more help to better equip ourselves versus a possible undead dragon, but we need money. So, what do you all suggest we do about getting more money? Perhaps those people digging up treasure that have a Troll problem you told me about might be interested in getting rid of them?

Re: 1372: The Year of Wild Magic: Day 213-226

The little treasure you do find is collected by the party and then you transport again back to the village of Daak. Nolan mentioned that he wanted the Golems to protect the village, so he has 2 of them stay near the Waystone, while the 3rd one follows the party back to the tower, carrying the metal crab contraption. Farmers stop work and stare at the party as they walk by, wondering what you guys were doing. Arriving at the entrance to the tower, the Golem puts the crab down when instructed.

"I don't think they're interested in paying much," Amara replied to Nolan. "We might to better to find a different area where they haven't staked a claim and do some digging ourselves."

I'm just making suggestions because I don't want to use the waystone in the hopes of finding some ruins that might have treasure. The items I made for the party weren't cheap to make and I'm not making a profit, either. I just charged you guys what it costs me to make the stuff.

"As much as want the Mariasha fixed and flying right now, I have gone a couple decades without a flying ship.  I can wait a little longer.  Besides, Nolan needs to figure out how to fix her in the first place.  I've got a couple thousand gold saved up as it is, and we still have some stuff we picked up at Vernon's tower to sell off.  If I cut my ale budget a bit, I'm sure I can acquire what I need by the time we need it.

However, she does need a good cleaning, which doesn't require magical or arcane knowledge, just some elbow grease.  Nolan, I know I don't have much magic, but since I have enough to get around the tower, do you think I'd be able to use the stones?  I don't want to be bothering you ever time I have time to swab the deck.

As for what we do next, I'm not really pulled one way or the other."

Re: 1372: The Year of Wild Magic: Day 213-226

I did some research on who can and can't use them and found out that the transporters had a porter. The person on this side would touch the waystone and the Hub spot would glow, so the porter could go pick them up. So, I've been the porter this whole time, unless you can cast spells of the 4th circle. You're doing pretty well with your abilities, Myarra, but you have a long way to go before you can use the waystones by yourself.

But, I also have another idea on how we can find treasure. We can go talk to Hanns and ask him where treasure hoards might have been kept? Myth Jannath was just as rich as Myth Drannor and just because both places are ruins doesn't mean the treasure just disappeared.

I'm ok with vising Hans again.  I've got a couple of questions for him, myself.  As to Myth Jannath, sure as long as we get to beat up on Culver and the Centauris in the process.

The Druid stood by her usual place beside Byron, Raieylan at her other side as she listened to the others. “I’m not usually one for treasure hunting, but in terms of culliver and his minions, they need to be taken care of. If that means we need better gear and money for the boat, then I will gladly help. Plus, I have to admit that even though it challenges me, being with you all is fun.” She looks around the group, and when her eyes met Byrons, she blushed a little.

Re: 1372: The Year of Wild Magic: Day 213-226

This is Myth Jannath, Twiggy. Known as the Forest of Wyrms now. It fell around the same time Myth Drannor fell, which is protected by the elves. We have Green Dragons. There is a 3rd city in the Orsraun Mountains called Myth Gringer which also fell. Now it's just filled with Goblins, Orcs and other humanoids, along with Red Dragons. Legend says the Dwarves dug too deep and uncovered something, which led to the downfall of all 3. Put all 3 of them on the map and it forms a triangle and cross the lines to the sides and it forms a "center", which is supposed to the be center of all evil in the realms....Cormyr. But, those are just stories. Take them with a grain of salt.

Byron smiles at Kali and puts his arm around her.

I think some rest and a couple of good meals are in order before we go see Hanns at the Library.  It will also give me time to think about how I want to word my questions to him.

Byron smiles at the big cat.

Raieylan narrows his eyes at Byron and a purr like growl escapes from his throat, causing kali to smile. “Even though he likes you, I still think you have a way before he fully trusts you with his girl.” The Druid again blushed as Byron put his arm around her, but didn’t pull away. “A few days rest would be nice...I’d like to send word to my kin about the cult.”

Byron turns to look at Kali.

I think it will be more like one good night's rest.  Who know what havoc Culver is going to try and unleash with that damned orb of his.  I would suggest you let them know about Culver, his orb, and as much as we know about the silver mine they are using.

It's good to see that you can tolerate at least one ghost, Myarra. That's good because he's a great source of information that we need to use before he's gone.

Turning to Twiggy and the metal crab,

Let's figure out how to open this thing.

"Hanns isn't so much a ghost as an absent minded uncle that just happens to not quite be there.

Which, if you'd ever met my grand uncle Rathgar, you'd appreciate.  Grand-Unc kissed all the kids as a daily greeting.  On the mouth.  Boys, girls, babies, children, teens, married with children of their own, it didn't matter, he was just delighted to see you again each and every day.

Hanns is a dream in comparison."

She otherwise leaves Nolan and Twiggy alone to examine the crab.

Nolan runs his hands on the metal crab, looking for some kind of latch or button to open the contraption. He even takes out a dagger and uses the pommel in case something was rusted in place, but he doesn't find anything and gets a bit frustrated.

This is why wizards created the knock spell.

04:50, Today: Nolan rolled 8 using 1d20+2.  search.

Nolan casts Knock on the metal crab.

Amara wasn't very certain about the usefulness of the underwater contraption, and didn't like it. It reminded her of carrion crawlers, nasty denizens of the Underdark. But she could see the others were excited, and so took a moment to look over the thing.

Re: 1372: The Year of Wild Magic: Day 213-226

So, Nolan, Twiggy and Amara were looking over the metal crab, trying to figure out how to open the thing. Nolan gave up after a few minutes, Twiggy gave up long ago and just as Nolan was going to cast a spell on the thing, Amara found the secret latch. It was a rivet on the bottom backside of the contraption that needed to be pressed. She did so and she heard a small click. Then some mechanical noises as she stepped back. Everyone watches as the metal door opens with a hiss of stale air coming out as if an old tomb was opened. Some of the local farm dogs barked at the strange noise.

Inside of the contraption are 10 metal levers that either move up and down, or side to side. It appears that 2 people can fit in this thing, but you have to sit on the "floor", if you want to call it a floor.

"Dibs!" Myarra calls out happily.

"Well, dibs on me and Twiggy giving it a shot."

She moves quickly to the machine, taking off her sword and handing it to Aliana.  Once at the hatch she sticks her head in and examines the interior, trusting her darkvision to notice anything amiss.  Once the inside looks clear, she climbs in and takes a seat on the floor to one side to give Twiggy space to join her.  While waiting she examines the ten levers, looking to see if there are any forms of writing that might gives clues as to what they do.

Twiggy shouts with glee as heruns up and tries to beat Myarra to the inside "Last one in is crab bait!" as he is visibly shaking with glee and excitement. Once inside he tries to stand as he starts playing with the leversto see what they do, onceMyrra is out of the way "All shall fear us and we will only fear boiling water and butter."
