I'll go up there and tell you what's happening.

Twiggy doesn't want to leave her "Let's get a look topside. I am not letting you go anywhere by yourself and have all the fun. Oh how I wish I had a Wand of grease right about now."

Amara casts her spell and Vernon floats to the top of the shaft to check things out. The 3 Trolls that are up there are busy looking at the pretty colors of the rainbow. Vernon floats back down and informs Twiggy, so he can tell the party without the enemy knowing about it....

"Okay," Myarra replies happily once Vernon gives them the news.  "All the warriors should climb up.  We'll pick one troll, and all attack it at once.  Once it goes down, we move to the second, then the third.  But let's be quick about it.  That spell won't last forever."

Assuming everyone is in agreement, she spreads her wings and flies back outside, spiraling upward until she reaches the part of the rock face where the troll disappeared.  Once she finds the opening, she'll slip inside and find the trio of trolls and await those climbing up.

Aliana spots a Troll here and there peeking out of their cave cover. No more rocks are thrown at you because they know they can't hit you. You hit a Troll here and there with your Spiritual Weapons, but they run away and hide to Regenerate.

For the moment, discretion is the better part of valor.  He who runs away lives to fight another day.  If we really want to have a serious chance of surviving this going forward, we are going to need Nolan and his fireballs.  Now if we want to continue this fight I'll make myself a target, but I'm still going to try and avoid getting hit by the rocks.

Twiggy runs to the others "They are dazed and only three of them for now. We can hurry and dispatch these. We must hurry, if it gets to much we can retreat down the shaft."

Amara continues to concentrate to keep those trolls entranced.

Then let us go quickly. I will go up there and keep watch, just in case more show up.

Amara casts another Rainbow Pattern spell and Vernon informed the party that all 3 Trolls up there are Fascinated. So, Twiggy gave Byron Vernon's ring when it was decided that Byron would be carried up into the next cave. It's a good 50 feet up and everyone was worried that Byron would be dropped if the Trolls hit Myarra and Aliana on their flight. And it looked like it was going to happen, too. But the Trolls thought it was Aliana and her Spiritual Weapons again and were slow to react, but once they saw what was happening, they quickly moved into their caves, cracks and hidey holes, so the flying Trio is expecting something to happen and soon.

They land just inside the cave and Byron can see Vernon and now you get a picture of how he was describing the cave with the 3 Trolls.

As they land, Aliana caught her breath as she reached into her Bag of Tricks, tossing a puffball in front of them,  which turned into a wolverine

She than cast a protective spell upon herself

There is another shaft going up that I didn't see previously. If we have visitors, I suspect they'll be coming from there.

"I'm going to watch the cave entrance, just in case something decides to come in."

"Go on and kill them," Amara said. "I'll stay here for a minute and then follow you - or more likely levitate out."

She remains concentrating to keep the spell going.

"Okay, let's keep it quiet," Myarra whispers.  "We don't know how many more trolls there are, so let's take these ones as quickly as we can.

Byron and I will approach slowly and quietly and flank the first troll.  Aliana stands back with her puppy dog." And spiritual weapon if it's still running.

"We strike hard.  Assuming it goes down, we turn to the other two trolls and attack them, with Aliana aiding wherever she thinks it will do the most good.

We then bring up the others and figure out what to do next.

How does that sound?"

She waits to make sure the others agree before casting Shield on herself and moving forward to execute the plan.

Aliana nodded, her lips pursed in thought

Kali, following behind the others with her magical scimitar, brought up the rear, close by to aliana. She looked at her. "I can help with healing - or i could become a spider and just climb up."

Twiggy begins to make his way up the shaft to the trolls.

"Step right up, little man. Who wants to live forever?" Copper chuckled

One by one, Byron does a Coup De Grace on the 3 Trolls Fascinated by Amara's Rainbow Pattern spell, with Myarra stabbing them again to make sure they're not Regenerating. When they finished off the last Troll, Vernon yelled out that another Troll is coming down the shaft. They must be the ones you saw moving back into their caves and through a maze of tunnels and shafts on this hill....

Amara looks around - they others should be able to take care of one, if one comes at a time. She therefore takes a moment to protect herself, casting mirror image. And suddenly there were 8 beautiful drow in the room - or at least appeared to be.

Sister Aliana was a bit slower

Myarra feels no regret for taking out the trolls the way they did. It's probably just the way she was brought up ... at least how she was brought up after she reached the surface.  She's really not a violent person. She's perfectly happy living day to day without harming anyone. If a matter can be resolved diplomatically, she'll bring the wine, cheese, and crackers to celebrate.  But whenever combat is required, the only thing that mattered was killing them first.  There's no glory in allowing yourself or your allies to come to harm.

"Byron, move over to the other side of the hole so we can all hit them.  As soon as a troll arrives, Aliana and I will hit it.  Then you take it out with the flametongue and kick it down the hole.

Amara!  We have more trolls coming.  Make sure nobody is underneath the hole.  And get Twiggy to have some fire handy.  Anything coming down should be dead, but let's not take chances."
