"I don't see a single one of them. They must be hiding from the sun."

Lady Maria asks; "Is the inn big enough for all of us? Also considering we are dealing with swarm form taking undead the windows and doors should be covered with cloth somekind with minimal gaps if possible. Or prepare for swarm assault we need have means to fight them. Also what is overall area around the inn? Are there buildings near it or is it open area which allows ranged attacks rained upon the horde when night falls?"

Aritrien smiles. "I have some special tricks designed to make life hard for swarms. If we encounter one, folks should get behind me and let me blast away for a bit, and keep me standing while doing so."

Maria nods and replies; "Then only other issue is then figure out how we deal with that giant if he shows up again. So far as I could tell he was not likely undead but a living person based on that he decided retreat instead press on. Also the injuries he sustained looked more what living person would receive than undead one, he after all bled lots of blood so he has beating heart some kind. I do not care much is he alive or undead but he is a risk and nearly got me and Aeron killed."

Aritrien scratches his chin. "Can you see this fellow coming from a ways away?"

Lady Maria replies; "That's why I asked about terrain around the inn or any structures near by it. To see does giant get any cover from them while approaching the inn and proceed shatter wall or door."

Glasenter shakes his head.
"The church is the tallest building in this town. And considering that the giant is a giant I am sure we will have no problem in spotting him or hearing him coming. And considering this is a town, you can bet there are other building nearby. Just like in this church. What I am worried about is that someone is commanding this undead army... and the giant didn't show any magical abilities, if what I heard is right."

Looking at Aritrien, he raises his eyebrow. The past experience with swarms had taught him something.
"Yeah, well, things with swarms is that they hardly stay where you want them to stay. And this ones know exactly where we don't want them to be... Ezourer! You better are ready to repel them away from us."

"If you repel them, I have a variety of means to destroy them, rest assured. As for the giant, if I can see him at a distance, I can soften him up before he reaches us."

Ezourer ponders the words said. Truly the giant is an enigma. "As I said before, the giant is not undead. But I don't think that he is behind this invasion. I think he may be another pawn."

Howevers, the shifter feels quite confident that he will be able to help with the swarms and he nods to Aritrien.
"I stop them. You finnish them. I like the deal."

Lady Maria nods and replies; "Then assign archers atop inn roof's and I can give them blessing which improves their accuracy. They can focus firing the giant or the horde with barrages until they breach in. Me and my unit then can remain stand by until doors are breached and we charge in instant when it happens and cleave down the opposition."

Moving thing along...

After leaving the town, you make it a couple of miles without seeing anything.  The area around the town seems deathly quiet.

Lady Maria kept close eye on surroundings, the silence is clear warning that everything is not right around her surroundings. So she kept her hand close to handle of her greatsword while her green eyes peered to area around her, her gaze sweeping through any darkness if any.

The shifter walks slowly, his bow prepared to shoot at the slightest provocation.

At his side, Galú imitates him, the beast also feeling an impeding danger that cannot yet be detected.

Leading his group, Glasenter moves his eyes in search of danger. It is too quiet in the surface. Perhaps the next attack will be entombers... then they would be in trouble.

Maria, Glasenter, and Ezourer, you see in the distance a group of twenty wights heading diagonal to your path.  They are far enough away and a little ahead of you that they don't see you.

Glasenter quickly gives signals to his squadron so they can take cover and hide, preparing for an ambush.

Aritrien moves to the closest ridge, getting atop it and trying to hide...

The healer swiftly puts himself behind cover, occult to the eyes of the undead. His dinosaur, however, couldn't find anything big enough to cover it.

Even with Glasenter's stealth skills, the group walks past you without noticing.

Well, beat Glasenter despite big penalty to hide :P.

Lady Maria and her band of warriors hide along with the rest of the group, upon informed there is undead approaching she readies her group into ambush.....just wait who launches attack first and if no one moves her band moves once undead are in the range for charged assault.

OOC: Take Leading the charge stance during the ambush, so all chargers get +7 to dmg rolls when charge attack hits.

Glasenter raises his hand, so all of the Bridgeburners are ready. And as soon as the line of wights are in range of their arrows and spells, he manifest a fire wall along the street that affects all the wights he can, and he lowers his hand, signaling everyone to attack.
