Pannion Doman continued

Morning comes without incident.  Everyone can heal up and regain your spells.

The street outside of the temple appears empty.

Aritrien takes in the morning with a deep breath of air. He stands, waiting for orders.

Re: Pannion Doman continued

"Congratulations Bridgeburners, you survived another day. Eat some rations and prepare. We are not going to stay here forever."

The corporal eats last. Someone after all has to watch over them. And it is a good time as anyone else to study from his prayerbook.

After he finishes, he looks to Aritrien.

"It seems you like the stench of decomposing bodies, Aritrien." The joke produces some minor laughs between the others. Still, Glasenter goes closer to him to talk. "We will need someone to cover us when we step outside. I can do it myself but you are better than most of us in that regard."

Re: Pannion Doman continued

Ezourer's mind is entertained. Not with the thought of being in a city ruled by the undead, but by the thought of recovering a fallen comrade in arms.
He has meditated and communed with the spirits of the fallen Bridgeburners and he thinks that is able to do something for poor Tordek.
And so, he stands before the body of the goblin wrapped in clothes.

"I need gold! One thousands pieces of gold to revive Tordek!" His words are both a plea and a command. After all, no Bridgeburner abandons a fellow in need if he can help it.

Aritrien frowns. "I unfortunately lack the funds, or I would assist. I can offer a small portion of that, though."

The shifter laughs
"We are thirty eight Aritrien. If we all put 27 pieces of gold, then we can for sure see our Tordek's smile again. Should it would be more, then it just wouldn't be worth it."

Of course it would be worth it, at least in his mind. A single dead is a failure for a man that grew wanting to serve the army as a healer.

Glasenter approaches Ezourer. If he can take back the dead, then it is worth the shot. "Here they are, Ezourer." He says giving him a small pouch. "Just be sure that you take him back." He steps back. As a Corporal he has set the example. He just hopes that the rest of the Bridgeburners follow it.

Re: Pannion Doman continued

Ezourer receives the gold from everyone and deposits it around the dead body of the goblin.

He begins a ceremony where he falls in a trance and whispers to the Bridgeburners of old to send the soul of his friend, and form a new body for him. He speaks word of fire and rebirth, of the spirit of Phoenix and the everburning soul of a soldier. And with his last plea, he asks for his brother in arms, offering the sacrifice of gold for something that doesn't have a value.

And then, under the shroud that covers Tordek's body, another form emerges at its side. Slowly it develops and grows... grows more than his original body.

And the shifter, even when he knows that everything worked all right, can't help but wonder what Tordek will think of this.

OOC:
23:30, Today: Ezourer rolled 78 using 1d100. Reincarnation roll!
And the goblins is no more a goblin but a human!

Re: Pannion Doman continued

The human body begins to tremble and suddenly the naked human raises his torso and opens his mouth breathing in all the air he can with the desperation of a man asphyxiating.
Another Bridgeburner hurries to his side and takes him by his shoulders.
"Tordek? Is that you buddy?"

"I am alive! Ilfran, it is so good to see your ugly human face again!" The ex-goblin is so happy to be alive and with his friends again...

... that Glasenter decides to not tell him the truth.

"Enough chitchat soldiers. Tordek, you will be punished for dying without permission later. Now I want everyone ready to storm the town. The sun is high and we must profit that fact."

Then he concentrates, closing his eyes, and opening another over the church where they are, trying to discover any movement of the enemy.

"First thing first"Glasenter begins to talk to the other faction leader. "We need a place to rest properly. I can see an inn with my power. It may even have some food. I propose to control that area first and defend it."

Aritrien nods. "A solid plan, sir. Do you have any intel on the enemies defending the area?"
