Delith: The Beginning

The trolls are in full retreat which is the good news; but then you can start to see the carnage.  Bodies of dwarves, elves, men and trolls lie strewn around the crater.  You can also see that there are 2 less mages still standing and 1 cleric.  It appears Art is beginning to heal who he can.

You start to take it all in again when your attention is taken by a figure who just popped into existance.  It is a man, standing a little over 6'.  He wears black robes and has a belt off which hang 2 swords, 1 short, the other long.  He has long red hair, tied into a braid behind him.  His eyes are green and piercing and he surveys the surroundings with a sad face.

He looks at all of you in turn with a slight smile.  Last he looks upon Aztar, with a larger smile, you can see Aztar recognizes him.  "I see you are well my friend." he turns back to the rest of you.  "Hello Shorty, you've looked better."

"I am Dualis, and we have triumphed!"

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 1): "Hello Shorty, you've looked better."

Shorty continues to sit on the ground and stares up a Dualis.  "H'lo Dull-is.  Las time you helps fight king n we lose.  Dis time, I fight by self n lose.  Next time, you fights by self an me watch.  Den we sees if you looks good."  Shorty looks around the battlefield and then asks, "Where troll go Dull-is?  Hows come me not be dead?  Me only hits one time dis fight.  King stronger den afore."

"Aye, Lord, but the cost.  Then again, whoever intervened at the last moment saved a lot more lives.  Was that ye?"

In reply to Shorty (msg # 2):

Dualis: "Actually we won that first time Shorty, he retreated.  One troll king would be a nice little warm up for me, maybe next time.  I'll make sure you get a front row seat.  So, how is baby doing?"

Re: Delith: The Beginning

In reply to Warwick (msg # 3):

"Actually I cannot take credit for this one.  It was an off worlder, he cast a spell of extraordinary power.  The spell actually went thru time and limited the trolls production so their numbers are far less.
We were facing tens of thousands of trolls surrounding Delith and numerous troll kings.  Hon called on Teth to intercede; which he did but it was Pelin's spell that caused what you saw.  Pelin is a mage from another world.  The spell actually killed him; but Hon was able to bring him back.  It appears you did well here, considering."

Re: Delith: The Beginning

'Hello Dualis.  it is good to see you.  I had wondered if you were somehow connected to what just happened.'

'That is an staggering amount of power to accomplish such a feat.  Altering time is no small matter and I worry what other consequences may come from such an action.   How many things in this world will have changed by having less trolls?'

'Also, if time was altered, how is it we remember when there were more trolls and the actions of those that no longer exist still apply such as Shorty's injuries?'

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 5):

"I know of Hon, Lord, as I know of ye.  But, until today, I'd never met any of ye.  We lost one of our own, though.  Morteft.  He says ye and Teke owe him.  Aztar believes he's alive, but I can't reach him through our mindlink.  Can ye find him?*

Re: Delith: The Beginning

In reply to Aztar (msg # 6):

Dualis: "Quite right, a huge amount of power.  The consequences are still to be seen but in actuality I talked him out of a genocide spell.  The trolls are around, still a threat but to a lesser degree. Gargaragoth is still around but should be easier to vanquish.
I have made a great study of time lately and the best I can explain it is simply, think of it as two separate realities that have briefly intersected, so you still have the experience and the results but they as well as we have moved on and the paths no longer cross."
