Re: Delith: Dinner and Go

Aztar follows the group to the library silently.

When they enter the library, Aztar issues one caution about the books, "Be care what you ask for from the librarian.  If you ask for too general of a topic, you'll find yourselves almost buried literally in books."

Morteft nods. "Good to know. Librarian. Bring me a book of infinite spells."

He heads over to a nearby table.

In reply to Aztar (msg # 25):

"I suppose I should start working on some clerical scrolls.  Having way to heal and protect ourselves will be useful."

"Librarian, please bring me a book that details the steps in making clerical scrolls."

Trinny: "That is a strange thing about the library, there are more than 1 head librarian I guess is the best way to say it.  They each have their own criteria for how the books should be arranged and stacked; so they continually rearrange.  I believe there are 6 total, 2 heads and 4 gophers."

He heads over to a nearby table.

Nothing seems to happen, except for the books stop flying around.

Trinny intercedes "I don't think they have that magical tome here.  Are you looking for any spell in particular?  I believe they have a Delithian spellbook here." she lowers her voice   "I also think they are trying to work out how to combine many tomes into one and hit you with them, I don't think they have tape though." she giggles

Again nothing seems to happen for a while but then about 10 seconds later a book comes flying in from deep in the stacks and lands on the table in front of Warwick.

Trinny:"I do seem to recall that Teke was part cleric .. I think or was that someone else, maybe it was part fighter."

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 30):

Warwick shrugs.  "I've absolutely no idea about Teke.  Perhaps after I figure out the clerical scrolls, I'll do some research on him."

Warwick sits at the table and begins to read the book.

In reply to Warwick (msg # 31):

Morteft smiles and says, "I didn't figure they would have one. A perianthian book would be very nice."

He looks over to Warwick and says, "Teke was a very powerful wizard, cleric and warrior. She has a very interesting tale and is one of the greatest known heroes."

In reply to Morteft (msg # 32):

"I'm sure she is, lad.  I know the name, just not all the details.  Understand, dwarves have their own heroes and gods.  Not that I'm excusing my lack of knowledge, ye understand.  Just that in the debating circles I'm in, we stick to dwarven subjects.  I'll try to rectify my ignorance before we go after Rigel."

"That was it."  exclaims Trinny  "A bit of a love interest with Dualis too I believe."

The books start flying around again and 2 large volumes head toward Morteft, 1 of the books hits the table just before the other one.  The one that was late 'jumps' on the table a few times and heads back towards the shelves.

"Seems they had 2" says Trinny

Re: Delith: Dinner and Go

In reply to Morteft (msg # 47):

Trinny:"Very well, that is the next level up."  Trinny starts to go out the doors and waits for the rest of you to follow then she moves on.  At the top of the next stairs is another large door which opens at her arrival.  Inside is a very large well lit room, looks to be about 200' in diameter.  There are 3 large bookcases full of books, a line of shelves down the middle and edge of the rooms, on which are ingredients of all kinds.  Five large tables are spread around the room with various items on them.   The far side of the room looks to hold some large specimens.  There is also a small room off to one side and you see the iron box that the trolls used to transport troops.

"Have a look around." Trinny says, "The lab technicians can help you with getting items and preparing things."
