Warwick nods his head.  "The asparagus looks good.  Looks nicely steamed.  I know folks assume that we dwarves don't appreciate a good vegetable, but we know to balance our meals."

Morteft says, "That makes sense although I suspect the dwarven system could do without leafy greens if needed due to your normal living environment."

He looks around for the brewed drinks in order to sample some new recipes. "I hope there are some unique ales or other beverages here."

Warwick will try each of the ales and beer.  Meads are too sweet for him.

After a while Shorty will get clear of all the creatures of Arcturus meeting him and make his way to the tables with the rest of you.  He is followed closely by the two humans who carried the armor and sword during Shorty's presentation.  The both wear a green tunic with the same oak tree as Shorty's armor.  Each is about 6' tall, lean but look in good shape.  Both again with brown hair, one with blue the other with hazel eyes.  They sort of stand at attention when Shorty stops.

There does not seem to be any meat on the table, although something looks to be a patty of meat but conspicuously looks more vegetable in origin.

Shorty stares at the table of food and sighs.  He picks up a mug of fruit juice and wanders over to the two men.  “He says, “Hullo, I be Shorty.  Who are your names?  Mp dat not right.  What are your names?” Shorty looks again at the table and then digs in his backpack while he waits for an answer.  He slides a covered platter out from his backpack and whispers…  “You want somethin good to eats?  Me ken make real food with magic dish.”  Shorty then concentrates on 3 large sausage and bacon meat roles.  He then open the magic platter and offers one to each of the men taking the third for himself.

The two young men look at each other and then to Shorty again.
"My name is Pat" says the young man with blue eyes.

"My name is Robert." says the one with hazel

They again look at each other when Shorty offers them some food.

"Sure" they say and each takes a sausage.  They inspect it, sniff it a couple of times and then they take small bites.  The both give faces like they are eating lemons, not sure what to make of these things.

Shorty shrugs and takes a big bite.  “Be good for you.  Make grow big an strong like Shorty..”  Shorty takes another big bite and chews politely before swallowing.  “So what do Pat an Robert do when not have big party like dis?  You be good fighters or be priest or Magic Man?  Gots to be good ats something udder den pushing armor around toom.” Shorty looks genuinely interested as this is he first time to speak to more common folks of this world.”

Trysk will pour himself a glass of the Poltorak Mead, "Trinny and Sir Joshua, is there something you would like to drink?"

Trinny responds: "If you are pouring then blue wine please. The blue grape is unique to this world.  I understand it is a bright flamboyant wine that is also quite crisp."

Sir Joshua says: "Hmm, the pubs back home also have a Golden Ale.  I think I shall try that one to see how it compares.  Than you my good sir."

Trysk gladly pours a large glass of the blue wine and hands it to Trinny. He then pours a large mug of the Golden Age and hands it to Sir Joshua.

Pat and Robert again look at each other with a puzzled look.

Pat says "Uh, sir, we are your squires."

Shorty pauses and ponders without the normal head pain.  Ï be sorry but not know dat word.  Squire?  Need to get Birdie here to teach me new words.  Me… I… not so smart before dis day.  Mostly speak Ogre and little dis tongue.  Today I ken figure out more but not dat word.  What do squire do?  And if do fer Shorty, what Shorty do fer you?  Must be fair so all feel like men and not slave.  Shorty fight war gainst slave makers when in me home land.  Very exciting war.  Many orc to fight.” Shorty pauses and takes another bite while he he waits for either man to answer.

"It is his little travelling home." Trinny says to Morteft  "The external features sort of match the area where it is located so it does not look out of place."

"Yes" agrees Dualis as he finishes filling his plate and getting some wine/mead/beer
"This time it is a tent, right over there.  You may enter, no trouble."

You look off to the edge of the trees behind the stones and there is a large tent, red and white striped.  Looks to have 2 main center posts and the shape is either hexagonal or octagonal. The entrance faces the field.

Pat looks over at Robert and shrugs.  "Well sir we keep your items clean, get your camp setup, fix your meals when you are out, take care of your .. horse.  That kind of stuff."  Pat pauses  "Well, and we learn from you how to be a knight"

Dualis almost spits out his sip of wine.
