Shorty thanks the squires for the additional food and begins to pass it around.  Shorty watches the squires for a moment and then turns to Dualis.  “Squires bein patient but dem be young and me knows dem wonderin.  Did maybe member to bring equipment like promise at big party?”

Shorty waits for an answer and then excises himself to go upstairs to put on his armor and pack his things.  He was not expecting to leave.  He adds the paper and pencil to his pack so he can practice his letters while he is gone.

Dualis listens to Ez'ard's summary of items and then Morteft and Trysk pipe in, Dualis then says "I will take care of this lot, there seems to be some unusual items in the group and I do not want either of you to get caught in something.  Now Trysk might be able to get some interesting information once I determine if everything is clean.  Lets see what you have there Ez'ard." he looks to Shorty "And what is this medallion Ez'ard mentioned?"

Dualis responds "Yes Shorty, I have that as well as another surprise."  he looks to Trinny "Trinny, please retrieve chest, he has everything."

"Certainly" says Trinny "Be back momentarily." she disappears with a pop.

Dualis: "She will be back momentarily, now about the items."  Dualis seems to wait for Shorty.

While Trinny is gone, Trysk turns to the half-elf, "Ez'ard, sounds like you and Sorry have had quite the adventure! A black dragon, lich and interesting magic items. Care to share the tale?"

Shorty returns after a short time in his new Grteen Knight armor with his weapons strapped to his back.  He drops a backpack in the corner and sits down.  He pulls a medallion out and lays it on the table.  He points with an overly large finger.  “Me know dat letter now.  It bees 8.  But it bees tired.  Alannon say not posed to lay down.  Posed to stand up.”

OOC:  The amulet has an infinity symbol on it.  Shorty just thought it looked nice.  No clue what it does.  As for the story, you will have to depend on Ez’ard summarizing from the old game notes.  My writing is no where near that far into Shorty’s life story.  I have 4 almost 5 precurser shorty stories written.  Shorty’s youth, a story about his parents, The meeting with Ez’ard, and a story about a character I will need later.  I am wrapping up a stpry about another character that I need for the books and the first part of Shorty’s adventures (Section 1 of a book).  I also have a really rough draft of the tale of the Ioun Stones that Shorty has.  Telling the tales is the easy part…. Editing and typo correction takes a loooooong time.

OOC:  He was wearing it.  It is attached to the chain with Shorty's Holy Symbol.  Since I had already said Shorty was going to excuse himself to go get his armor....  I did not have him pull it out till he came back.  He did not want to miss the explanation.

Dualis sees the amulet as Shorty reveals it and begins to take it off; Dualis yells "NO Shorty! Leave it on!"

Shorty pauses and eyes Dualis carefully.  “Youse bees sick?  Maybeso Warwick helps you.  Me not wear when takes bath.  How’s come fraid?

Dualis looks a little relieved "Because if that item is what I think it is, then you could have died taking it off.  The question becomes, when did you take a bath last?"

Dualis will wait for the answer (but we move on)

"I think I can ID it without you needing to take it off."  Dualis will do so "As I thought, this particular item is a boon as well as a curse.

If Shorty has bathed within the last few weeks then Dualis will have Shorty take it off.

Dualis will explain the item. "The medallion basically gives you immortality while wearing it as in you will not age; However " he draws the last word out for emphasis "that 'time' is stored in the amulet and it continues to build as long as you wear it.  At any point you take the amulet off that stored 'time' is released back to you and you age that much in an instant.  Depending on the length of time, the shock could kill you if not kill you due to extreme age."

Dualis takes a deep breath.  "Now what other troubles have you two picked up."  Dualis will look over the other items.

OOC: More magic

Dualis will look over the rest.  He starts with the ring from the dragon.  After lookin over it a moment he slips it on and says "It is a Ring of Vampiric Regeneration.  Useful for a heavy hitter like you Shorty."

Next he looks at the vials, they all have a dark blue tint to them.  "Typically you need an alchemist to discover the potion but I am pretty sure that those are all Extra-Heal."

Next the Obsidian Horn, after looking it over "Hmmm, a special Horn of Valhalla, Iron, although usable by any class, normally only a fighter could."

Next the Gold ring from the Giant, again looks it over and slips it on "A +5 Ring, +2 to AC."

He then takes the crown and puts it on his head.  "Well now, interesting.  It provides adaptation powers like the medallion, also +4 protection, as well as +2 Cha, perhaps only to Salamanders.  Finally summon a Fire Elemental 1/day. Very nice."

Ez’ard listens to Dualis’ identification of the unknown items and replies, “Well Shorty how about we split the rings, you get the vampire one. I could always use a little more protection is I am out with the group. The vials can be carried with us. The Horn, if I remember right needs a proficiency which I believe we both lack and is probably better left behind. I’d say the same for the crown as we both a currently partial to our current headwear.”

He looks about, “unless anyone with more wisdom and experience can make use of them….”

Trysk nods, "That's very generous of you, Ez'ard. Perhaps we can work out a trade, as both seem to be very valuable items."

"Dualis, could ye explain about that Obsidian Horn of Valhalla?" asks Warwick.  "Yer sentence had more twists and turns than a dwarven tunnel.  The iron ones can only be used by fighters, but aren't ye saying this one can be used by anyone?"

"As far as the crown goes, might ye use it Morteft?"

Shorty tries to process it all.  After a lon moment, he replies.  “When goes fer mission.  Not gets bath berry muches.  When bees home, takes bath ebry day.  Takes one afore sleep night afore.  “Shorty pauses and touches his nose.  “Me track wid smell.  Ifn me smell bad, no ken track.  So, me posed take bath wid pretty bauble on?”

Shorty takes the medallion and his Holy Symbols from around his neck and slides them across the table towards Dualis.

"Really?" says Dualis "Anyway, yes, the Obsidian Horn works like the Iron Horn and any class can use it.  No proficiency needed."

Shorty removes the Amulet from his chain and leaves it before Dualis.  “Who ken use den?  Not sure me wants live fereber.”

Shorty eyes the ring that Ez’ard offered him.  Öld sword do dis too.  How strong be ring?  Get’s all damage maybe or bees little bits?”

Shorty shows no real interest in the crown.  He looks at the Horn and asks.  “Not undnerstan what dat do?  Why need know ta use?”

Dualis responds to Shorty, "Well anyone can use the medallion, the problem is that it can be very dangerous to the user.  Maybe when you are very old and want to live for a few more decades or so, the consequences are somewhat softened. As far as the ring, it is fairly similar to what your black sword did."

OOC: I messed up my original interpretation of the Black swords powers, it actually was vampiric regen; however I initially saw it as a Heal spell so I just continued with it.

Dualis continues "And the Horn, all you do is blow into it."
