Shorty, Alannon, and Ez'ard are relaxing at the dining table when in walk Know-Man, Dualis, Warwick, Morteft, Trinny and Trysk.

Dualis :"Surprise!" as he spreads his arms.

OOC: I do not believe Ez'ard knows most of the visitors.

OOC:  Ah, Ez'ard is a new player character.  Hi!

The dwarf amongst the party floats back to the ground.  "How ye doing, Shorty?  Ye getting used to being a ranger yet?  And, ye must be Ez'ard.  The Archmage here says ye're to be joining us.  I'm Warwick Forgemaker, a warrior priest of Reorx."

Warwick is a medium height dwarf with a brown beard and brown eyes.  He has a dwarven battle axe and a mace attached to his belt and a light crossbow with a quiver of quarrels slung across his back.  He also carries a backpack in which he carries some of the possesions that aren't arrayed on his belt.  He wears a gray cloak over his platemail and a helm.  Around his neck he wears the holy symbol of Reorx, a hammer striking an axe blade atop an anvil.

In reply to Warwick (msg # 2):

Trysk grins, "Greetings, Shorty and Alannon."

Trysk nods at the newcomer, "Greetings, Ez'ard. The name is Trysk. Unlike, Warwick, I was unaware that we had someone joining our merry little band."

Trysk is a male Drow with long silver hair, jet black skin and violet eyes. He appears to be of average height (5 feet) and weight (100 lbs). He is plainly dressed in a simple tunic, leather pants, high soft boots and a fine robe.

You see a pair of sheathed long swords slung across his back (right-hand draw) and a short sword at his left hip. A pair of pouches also hang at his right hip. Occassionally, peeking out from under his cloak, you can see what appears to be a bracers on each forearm and a ring on each hand.

Trysk laughs, "I wish I had that luxury. Unfortunately. I have no teachers here for the skills that I need to improve. It's a shame that I didn't have time to complete all my training and errands, though."

Ez’ard introduces himself, “And as has been said, I am Ez’ard, also a friend of Shorty. We just arrived a couple days ago and with a lot of help are getting this keep up and running. Any friend of Shorty is a friend of mine.”

Ez’ard appears young and of elven descent. He wears soft leather breaches which are dark brown, a tan shirt and dark blue over vest of obvious excellent quality material, black half-calf boots, and a foppish hat with a brightly colored long feather stuck in it. Around his waist can be seen a large belt designed to carry many things and you can see several wands sticking out here and there. He also has a pair of spectacles perched on his nose.

In reply to Trysk (msg # 5):



Dualis, a little sarcastically speaks to Warwick: "Yes but I have not mentioned it to Ez'ard yet.  I may need to put a gag order on you." over to Trysk  "You can easily train as a mage with me or Trinny and I am working on the other part." over to Ez'ard
"So Ez'ard, would you like to join this travelling band or stay here and nursemaid the dragon?"

OOC: Do not believe Ez'ard has seen Trinny

Trinny is a tall blonde human female, about 5'8", has green eyes, long hair that flows behind and she wears a long fuscha colored gown.  She has an athletic build for a human female.

Shorty Welcomes his friends and waves them to take a seat.  If there is not enough food for all, he will use his magic platter to create more.

Shorty looks momentarily overwhelmed by al the banter as there hasn’t been that much for the last few days.  Shorty lloks proudly towards Warwick.  “Me learnin letter. An bout tree.”

Shorty turns his attention back to Alannon.  “Not sure me unnerstan.  Lord get big home fer stop people arguin an maybe fights monster if it come?  Nots bees bery big job.  Why gets muches fer do littles?  Me thinks maybe should help do hard works somedays too.”

In reply to Shorty (msg # 9):

A young man watches the conversation with interest. He wears a green robe, a brown cloak and a small silver helm. His black hair is cut short and he is clean shaven. In his right hand is a staff made of a clear crystalline material. At his right side is a large quiver and sticking out from it are the tips of several wands and rods. Behind him floats a disk and on that disk is an old leather backpack. As he moves, the disk follows him.

He nods at Ez'ard, "Nice to meet you. I am Morteft Atack of Calator."

He sits down at one of the empty seats.

Ez’ard responds, “I may be young and inexperienced to a worthy band of adventures such as yourselves but I am willing to help outside the keep. The tin owl can keep Arlon company if he is not coming along.”

Dualis looks at Warwick "So in other words I should not tell you anything." over to Ez'ard "It will not be an easy road Ez'ard.  You can ask your new companions about the trials they faced. However I will endeavor not to put you all in situations that will overwhelm you.  All of your new companions are quite capable."

Alannon replies to Shorty "Those are more of your local duties and they will expand over time. Understand you work for all of Arcturus as I do and eventually you will be called upon to intercede on the other side of the world and defend all of Arcturus.  However Arcturus will take time to heal from the devastation and so there is less to deal with at the moment.  Outsiders may come in to try to exploit us but you and I will deal with them if they come."

Shorty nods to Alannon.  “Bees good.  Wants ta help peoples, not sit in new home do nuttin.”

Shorty turns to look at Morteft standing and listening.  He ponts to an empty chair.  “Sits.  Eats.  Bestus have full belly afore Dullis gets us dead on nudder job.”

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 12):

Warwick sighs.  "Apparently so, Archmage.  Ye told me lots of things.  How am I supposed to know what ye consider a secret and what ye don't unless you state that at the time?"

In reply to Warwick (msg # 15):

Trysk grabs a seat, "So, now that we have Shorty, what's the mission, Dualis?"

Dualis mocks putting his hand to his chin "Hmm, well I could Disintegrate you, that would give you a clue or maybe suspend a bolder over your head as I speak." he waves his hand, "Tell you what, I will get back with you on that one."



"I will do so when we get back." replies Dualis "I do not want to bore Alannon with this work."  he nods at Alannon who nods back.  Dualis continues "Although I would like to borrow Shorty for a time if I could, for some work on Delith, plus I think I found a ranger that can help train the lad."  Alannon regards Dualis "Oh, excellent." he says "Well I believe that would be fine.  There is much busy work here to do, not much for the Green Knight at this time.  Field experience is always good, so yes it would be acceptable."

Dualis nods to Alannon. "Thank you.  Well then finish your lunches and we can move out."

The squires, Pat and Robert, bring in more food and drink.

Dualis speaks: "Since I am taking your knight, is there anything I can do for you Alannon."

Alannon: "Kind of you Dualis; however I prefer druidic magic for aid.  I believe that Ez'ard and Sir Shorty wanted you to look at some items." Alannon looks at both.

Dualis says "Really, do tell."

Ez’ard replies, “Well there was a bunch of things that we collected while fighting the black dragon, the skeletons, and the Salamander King… we got his crown by the way. That’s one of the items. Oh, and then there were the giants…. One giant was wearing a huge gold ring, and you know that thing shrunk right down to a size that even I could wear.” Ez’ard digs around and pulls out another gold ring, “And this one we found in the dragon’s hoard.” He continues to sort through his many pockets. “Found these 7 vials of liquid in the hoard too. And Shorty you got that obsidian horn somewhere don’t you? I think it is a horn of summoning but that is all I could figure out. And there was something else… ah right, show him that medallion from the dragon’s hoard.”

Ez’ard waits expectantly. As a few seconds he says, “That is what was uncertain. The Lich identified some other stuff for us. It can wait if whatever is happening in Delith is urgent.”
