Re: Delith: Against the Giants
In reply to Trysk (msg # 943):
OOC: OK, time to see the wizard .. well high priest. We will work the other stuff after.
Yes the boulder was replaced at least enough.
Captain Horneblende will take you all back to the religious district where the 3 main temples of the dwarves are located. The first and largest you come to is the one for Moradin. A large stone domed structure with 4 tall pillars in the front. Fourteen stairs lead to the front door where the temple guards stand with log hammers.
The doors are open and you walk in, a priest rushes up to see you, he approaches as if he is trying to shush you and then pulls up at the sight of Warwick. "Oh, my, Lord Forgemaker, I did not realize it was you. His holiness is actually waiting for you in the main meditation chamber." He indicates you should follow him and he leads you down the main aisle, stone benches on either side. Along the walls you see statues of hammers and anvils separate and together, hammers resting on anvils, hammers hanging on anvils etc. AT the front is a large statue of a powerful looking dwarf with a hammer in his hand ready to pound something on the anvil, the something you cannot make out, could be just a lump of something.
He leads you around to the right and thru some doors (all seem close to 8' high so Shorty does not need to duck) and then down a back hallway with 6 doors, 3 on either side and at the end is another door. Along the passage walls are carvings of dwarves in all manner of poses, male & female.
The priest opens the door at the end of the hall. It opens to a room with a domed ceiling about 20' - the room itself is roughly shaped as an octagon about 60' wide. The room itself is plain but is a striking red granite streaked with white and silver veins. You see 8 bodies spaced around the room, only the head shows of each. A dwarf, who is kneeling, in the center of the room, facing away from you, a candle on either side, rises and turns to face you.
He is an old white hair & bearded dwarf, he wears all white with a gold collar.
"Ah, Lord Forgemaker and his party. Welcome." he looks past you "Brother, you may attend to your duties." the other priest bows and leaves while closing the door.
"I am ready to begin, the castings are a bit lengthy, you may have a seat." The walls have stone benches as part of them. "Before I begin does any one have a quick question?"
OOC: Just posted experience in a new thread.
