Re: Delith: Against the Giants

In reply to Warwick (msg # 904):

Warwick shrugs.  "Darned if I know.  Probably something in the timeline changed to bring this about.  That whole time with my family back there?  That was just weird for me.  That's not what the last thirty years were like.  My mother died when I was young, I never had a sister and my father and I never saw eye to eye.  I felt like I was living someone else's life last night and this morning."

Re: Delith: Against the Giants

In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 903):

Captain Horneblende meets you as you exit the Forgemaker estate.  "I trust all had a pleasant evening sir?"

He walks with you into the palace and to the meeting/feast hall.  There you wait about 20 minutes till the king is ready to see you.  A couple of generals exit and the kings Minister of History ushers you in to the command center.

"Welcome all and again thank you for your service.  Please have a seat." announces the king.  "Yesterday we wanted to keep things brief but if you want to expound on anything this is the time to do it.  General Forgemaker?"

Re: Delith: Against the Giants

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 906):

Warwick reviewed in his head what he said.  "If ye want a more drawn out explanation of our battles, I can give it to ye.  We met some dire wolves, which we didn't fight owing to Shorty's ability to befriend them.  And some yetis that we decided to avoid.  We killed a lot of frost giants along the way.  And then the throne room, things got a bit hairy.  We tried to talk our way out, but the Jarl and the followers of Set weren't having it.  That's when I was drained by the warrior's blade and we killed the Jarl, his bodyguard and took out most of the giants in the room.  Then the two followers escaped while we were fighting the giants.  We chased, but had to break down a wall to get to them.  And when that was done, they were gone.  In searching for them, we found a bunch of treasure and a dracolich."

"Did I miss anything, lads?"

In reply to Warwick (msg # 907):

"Weeelll it was more for if ye felt we should dig deeper into something you encountered or some aspect of your foray that you thought of import." says the king  "The synopsis was fine General.  Thank ye"  He looks to the others to see if anyone will add anything.

Re: Delith: Against the Giants

In reply to Warwick (msg # 907):

Trysk adds, "Maybe that the fire giants didn't seem too interested in joining the frost giants anymore. Stone giants seemed to be providing engineering support. One of the cloud giant princes seemed to be interested in joining the frost giants, but not sure about his brother... May be linked more to an internal power struggle. "

Re: Delith: Against the Giants

In reply to Trysk (msg # 909):

The king strokes his beard as Trysk speaks. "Yes" the king replies "Somethin for the diplomatic council to look into.  Not much issues with the Fires as they are many leagues away and the clouds, have not heard much of them.  The dracolichy thing, may need some divination for that topic. Thank ye."

In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 918):

"Sorry not ogre speak but blind guy type.  I get my fingers off and can't see it.  If its in the middle of something then I tend to not notice the underlines.  Wish I could see it in context of the post.  Usually I figure out which hand is off by one key in which direction.

"Shorty sits and ta[s the tan;e fpr a ,omite tjem cpmtomies."
"Shorty sits and taps the table for a minute then continues."

In this case right hand one key to the right so shift one key to the left to fix it.  Someday you may learn to read blind guy too.

Re: Delith: Against the Giants

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 916):

The king stands up "Again, thank ye for ye service, the kingdom is much safer now." he nods to one side and three dwarves move from out of the background, two carrying a chest and the other a well dressed dwarf in front.  They put down the chest between the king and the table so most of it is blocked.  The well dressed dwarf bends to open the chest, you see the lid come up and a glint reflecting on the lids bottom.  The king says "Our Minister of Finance, Hagan Lithobech, will present a token of our appreciation."  The one the king called Hagan Lithobech reaches in to the trunk and begins to pull out 5 gold ingots and places these on the table.

The minister says "Each of these ingots is valued at 2,000 GPs." he steps back and closes the chest.  The king says "There is one for each of you and of course Morteft who I assume is on some urgent business. The gold is probably a small sum in comparison for ye service but ye will always have the hospitality of me kingdom."  he raises his index finger "One more thing General, high priest Gunther of Moradin would like ye ta drop in. As I understand it only one of the dead ones ye brought in would like ta be brought back and ye ole classmate Redmond Dumple would like a word with ye, oh and King Basaltic would like to thank ye for bringing his heead back."

You are then dismissed.

Actions?

In reply to Trysk (msg # 922):

"Aye, Trysk.  Although it seems that Shorty and I have some errands here."

"Shorty, do ye want something made out of metal, leather or something else?  If ye want something metal, than me Father would have been the best person to ask.  If ye want something in leather, then we'll have to wander."
