"Of course, me friend.  Do we want me to tell them how ye died or just how I found ye, encased in ice in the Frost Giant's lair?"

Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

In reply to Warwick (msg # 11):

The ghost says `Encased in ice eh, well least I be well preserved.  Just tell'em I was fightin a glorious battle against our ole enemy the frosties.  Of course there was the treasure too but ye need not say anythin about that.` he then looks conspiratorially around the room `Between you en me it be that damned elf mage that ruined us, what a skuller he turned out ta be.`

The ghost of Redmond gets a calm look on his face as if he is at peace.

Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 12):

OOC: Just to move things along a little I will do some of these speak with dead things in parallel, next Shedu

The high priest looks at Trysk after the ghost of Redmond dissolves , "Do you have the head?"

Trysk produces the head and the priest instructs Trysk to put it on the mat in front of him.

Trysk does so and the priest repeats the previous casting, another 10 minutes.

A ghostly form of a large horse with a human or possibly dwarf type head appears, it has a heavy but well groomed beard and a circlet about its head.

The priest asks Trysk "Is there a question you want to ask him?"

Tryst steps forward, "Greetings, Gungunu. My name is Trysk. My companions and I have defeated the frost giants that slew you, Redmond and your party members. Do you wish to be brought back to life to continue the battle against evil?"

In reply to Trysk (msg # 16):

The ghostly image speaks in a rich but tinny baritone `I am gratified that you were able to succeed where I failed.  It is not in our nature to seek resurrection.  We accept the fate of our chosen path and prefer the current state over longing for another.`

Shorty rises at the appearance of the second ghost.   Something about its animal form seems to draw his attention.  Shorty takes a step forward and takes a knee.  His head bws as his hand goes subconscipously to the hilt of New Horizons.  “Blessing of da Lady to youse.  Bees  any tings can do fer youse?”

The shedu ghost looks a little confused, as if Trysk just asked him the same question.  Then he hears Shorty `Be strong, you will find a way.`  says the ghostly form.

Re: Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

In reply to Shorty (msg # 26):

The image begins to fade. `Must go, overcome evil, fight with honor.`  the shedu fades away.

The high priest says "They seem to have a tight schedule."

Moving on the the resurrection.

"Only the elf wanted to be raised" the priest says to you all

He kneels next to the elf and begins to cast - another 10 minutes.

A pale gold light starts to envelope the elf and it begins to glitter and get brighter.  The glow stays there for about a minute and them seems to be absorbed into the body.  Moments later the elf sits up, he seems whole.

"Where am I." he asks and the high priest says "In the temple of Moradin in Stoneguard." the elf nods once looks around.  'I know them' he indicates the other dead 'who are the rest of you?"  "I am Gunther high priest of Moradin and these are the ones who brought you back." says Gunther as he indicates the rest of you.

Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

Shorty’s nudge sends Ez’ard stumbling forward a step. After regaining his dignity he stammers, “Hi, my name is Ez’ard and this worthy collection of adventurers put a beating on the frost giants and bested the dracolich who encased your group in ice.” Ez’ard sends to Warwick and all, *I think this is the ‘Between you en me it be that damned elf mage that ruined us, what a skuller he turned out ta be.` elf mage.”

Ez’ard continues, “Who do we have the pleasure of meeting and would you be willing to tell us your tale?”

Responds to Warwick: "Encased in ice. That was not our end.  I was struck in the back by something blunt, completely shattered my spinal column.  That no account thief "  he points at on of the humans "was supposed be the rear guard and monitor the situation.  He probably went off skulking."

To Ez'ard : "Well met Ez'ard.  A dracolich you say, we did not encounter one. I do thank you for retrieving me and bringing me here so I could be resurrected.  My name is Glee Whirp of Methorian."

He gets up slowly.  He is an average sized elf with long blond hair and green eyes.  He wears a plain white robe.

OOC: You removed the ice form around the bodies and collected the items.  He had a case that contained a wand.

Trysk does not detect any evil.

OOC: Only a single wand… did we determine what type of wand it is?  Not quite ready to admit we have it and to even offer to return it yet…

Ez’ard replies to Glee, “Well a thief may indeed do that. But we have not tried to reach his ghost yet, so maybe we can get his story next.”
