Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 34):

OOC: that was the only item with the body.  None of the bodies had much.

"Hmmph" says the elf "It matters not now, time to make my way home and start again." he turns to Gunther "When I return home I can make a donation to the nearest temple of Moradin for the Resurrection." the high priest says "Appreciated."  the elf then says "May I have a room to rest and regain some spells so I might prepare for my travel?"  Gunther says "Certainly" and he calls in a priest to show Gleep to a room.

Shorty consideres the elf and the dead thief.  “Me tinks youse thief die afore youse.  Mayneso goes place no bery smart ta bees.”  Shorty watches the elf and studies his reaction to his harsh words.

Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

In reply to Shorty (msg # 36):

The elf just stares at Shorty, he looks at the rest of you and then back at Shorty and maybe some understanding shows on his face. "If I can actually comprehend what you're saying, your assessment is that he died stealthily, making no sound as he died.  Or that a giant snuck up on him, silently and grabbed him around the head so he could not make a noise. Is that it?" he looks at the rest of you and says "He is just a beginner, yes?  Or is it he has something against high elves which is the wont of his ilk?"

Shorty lookd dsfly at those who died.  “What do now elf? Gots home?”

In reply to Shorty (msg # 38):

The elf smiles but one without humor.  "I see you answered my question."  he looks to the rest of you "Again I thank you whether your intention or not." he then addresses the priest "To the room please, the air is a little oppressive in here."  the priest bows and escorts Gleep out.

Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

Ez’ard sends to Shorty and all, *Was there a reason to goad the elf so much? Did your fancy sword talk to you?*
Ez’ard then sends to Warwick and all, *Think it best to keep a “polite” eye on him until he is outside, I think he just got a bit miffed.*

OOC: original description of frozen people… There are 2 dwarves, 4 humans an elf and a half-elf.  One dwarf still has a battle axe and one human is still wearing armor.  The elf was probably a mage as there is a wand case at its feet and a human holds a scroll tube.  Another human wears a jeweled belt - looks very valuable.  They all appear to have some sort of valuables left on them.

Once Glee (Gleep?) leaves the room Ez’ard looks around the room and says, “ooookay, shall we continue?”

Trysk shrugs, *Perhaps we should get the rest of the dracolich's hoard. I checked and it seems undisturbed still. Do we have something to put the coins into?*

In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 40):

Now Gunthar looks confused "Continue with what?  I already chatted with them all.  Gleep was the only one who wanted to be resurrected and Redmond just wanted a few words with Lord Warwick.  The rest want to rest."

In reply to Shorty (msg # 41):

OOC: I did not indicate the elf was angry, irked perhaps but no display of anger.  But if Shorty wanted help with Arcturus, probably not going to happen with Gleep as Shorty concludes.

Re: Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

Ez’ard replies, “Oh, Please forgive me, I didn’t catch that.”

In an aside to Warwick Ez’ard asks, “Is it appropriate to leave a donation/tribute for the priest’s time? I think the team will want to have the scroll and wand evaluated and that fancy belt. Everything else found with these adventurers can be left as a donation unless you think more is appropriate.”

In reply to Shorty (msg # 49):

Trysk nods, "I will go with you, Shorty. I need to ask Warwick's father for some references."

As they head back to Warwick's parents' place, he reaches out to HQ, *Hi, Trinny. If we bring back the dracolich's hoard of coins, does Dualis have a place for us to put it?*

Re: Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

In reply to Trysk (msg # 52):

Again after a few moments Trinny replies.  *Dualis anticipated that, we will send you a dimensional cube.  Of the 6 sides, touch the silver side 3 times quickly, like dot dot dot. It will expand into a dor which will open, it should have plenty of room inside.  Closing the door from the outside will transform it back into the cube.*

Moments later a cube appears at your feet, it is about 4" on a side.

He looks at Ez'ard, *Want to take a detour before we meet up with Shorty at Warwick's parents' place?*

Some R&R, Rest & Resurrection

In reply to Trysk (msg # 54):

Ez’ard replies to Trysk, “Sure why not. Don’t happen to have a couple shovels do you?” Ez’ard digs out the arch and activates it picturing it opening on the back side of the upper ledge. He gestures Trysk through and then follows. If all looks safe he shuts down the arch and will help in collecting all the coins. He keeps an eye on the surrounds for surprises (for enemies and unknown object possibly buried amongst the coins.)

In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 55):

All is clear around the dragon treasure and yes shovels would be helpful.

Without any items of aid it will take about an hour to get everything in.

The cube door opens into a 50' cube space.

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 56):

Since shovels are needed, Trysk will ask a guard if he can borrow a pair of shovels before he heads with Ez'ard to load the coins into the cube.

When they return, he will put the remainder of the treasure into the cube, if there's enough room.

Shorty will wait paitently for Warwick to finish talking with the priest.  As he sits on the floor waiting, Shorty brings his backpack around and opens it.  He stares at the useless metal pieces lying in his backpack.  <OOC:  Gold Coins Ezard asked him to carry in one of the giant rooms along the way.>   He thinks about the grumpy elf that just wants to go home.  He poors about half the metal out thing that Ez’ard won’t know the difference.  Shorty then waves one of the lesser priests over.  “Please ta giv to Elf dat no be dead no more.  Maybe helps him ta go him home.”

You can get the shovels and it will take about 20 minutes off the time and Trysk & Ez'ard can get everything into the room and then return to Stoneguard.
