Delith: Treasure Pick

OOC: Starting a thread for this as well.  Are you guys really going to use a d6 to determine the initial pickor something higher like a d20 - the higher die will reduce the number of ties and rerolls.

Also, so I am clear, the agreed upon process will be ..
Have a die roll-off to determine the initial order.
Once established, you pick treasure in that order and reversing the order in subsequent rounds, so that odd rounds the first person in the order picks first and even rounds the last person picks first, like the following pick order  12345 54321 12345 54321 12...

This will begin with the next treasure pick

After each treasure pick is completed the order for the next treasure pick will rotate right to left so (I will use letters to make it less confusing) if the treasure pick completed was
S M T W E then the next pick order will be M T W E S , then T W E S M ...

One suggestion, any new player coming in goes to the back of the order .. I did not see anything about that in the discussion.

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 1):

I think they meant something like:

54321
43215
32154
21543
15432
54321

and so on...

In reply to Morteft (msg # 2):

Sorry I meant rounds within the same treasure pick.

Then switch the order, as you have shown, after each treasure pick is completed.

OOC - I think because they probably only had 6 sided dice back then! LOL!

I'm fine with using a d20 for determining the next round order.

Trysk is fine with the new party member starting at the end of the line.

We'll use a d20 to avoid having so many ties.

OOC:  First,  Please explain what "Trysk is fine with the new party member starting at the end of the line."  Not sure I like the way this sounds.

As previously stated, Shorty will wait until all are done with as many picks as they choose.  Ge will then select from anything that remains or nothing at all.  Shorty will roll his position but will pass his turns to the end i.e. when he returns from Arctiurus

In reply to Shorty (msg # 7):

I think if we get a new party member, we reroll the treasure picking order at that point.  That would seem to me to be the fairest manner.

Btw, it also seems to have rolled twice for me now after I refreshed the screen. In any case, my first roll is what should count.

Before we do that, which direction wins? I would assume high wins, but you all reversed it in the falcon selection. Not that it matters, but we should have it stated explicitly.

Only Trysk and Shorty have rolled.  Well.. The DM rolled several times but I think he is cheating.  He gets more than a d20

Yes.  Four of them from the upstairs bedroom.  Apparently one is a diary of some kind that Dualis will be interested in.  The philosophy one is from the lab and that is not earmarked for Celestron.
