*I told Morteft to get back here.  Once he's here, we're going through the door.  It's quite possible that the Lich is on the other side, so we might want to prepare for a battle.*

While waiting for Morteft to arrive, Trysk cast Stoneskin on Shorty, Ez'ard and himself.

OOC - Actually, he only had 1 left.  I forgot to cross off the 3 from the last time they rested, so he casts the last one on Shorty.

He still has a Minor Globe of Invulnerability left.

Morteft materializes. "Well, that was not a useful scouting trip. Let's go. Something is happening but I have no idea what."

The team is all together again, prep spells cast, and Ez'ard activates the door.  The secret door swings silently inward and reveals a passage going SW.  Looks to go at least 30'.

Trysk examines the doorway, floor and ceiling for traps.

OOV - I'm assuming nothing discovered using Detect Magic, Evil and Invisibility, right?

OOC: I think Morteft lost his stoneskin due to the ice storm so he will cast stoneskin again. Is the elemental still around or gone?

Shorty will lead the way forward unless the air elemental goes first.

Nothing detected, air elemental is gone.  Morteft casts his Stoneskin

Shorty leads the team into the passage.  It goes about 30' SW and then turns back W.  After another 50' you come to a dead end.

Now you can feel slight pulses in the ground, about every 3 seconds you feel a wave.  There is energy all around as everything and everyone, with the exception of Tainkintana, begin to get a greenish aura around them.  The very air has a malevolent feeling as well as if an ancient evil had been here and the very walls had been tainted.

Your thoughts are invaded by some of your worst memories of your childhood or of losing people in your life.  Your very soul crying out in pain.  You feel a desperation an urge to turn back ...

Shorty begins to hum the song of the tree as he waits for someone to open the next door.  While he hums, Shorty reaches down and grasps his superball.  As soon as the door opens, he will give it three hard squeezes.

*I think they are opening a gate to hell.* Morteft says. *Baelzebul is involved in this somehow. We need to hurry. West and slight North from the secret door.*

OOC: Is that the same direction as the secret door? Seems like it.
