Re: Pursuing Templars

What happens if we use long aspen saplings that are flexible and just attach them to one horse? The flex will ease the travel and it will only take one horse.

Your skills in working on Missile weapons is some help at a -3... and you will need help from the big strong guys too.

Wulfe went with the consensus in this time and helped them build the litter for the wounded. He asked Hugh to help also (OOC: I assume Hugh is with us still?)

"These Templars are lucky you're all such nice people..." he said wryly. "Keep an eye on them though, they have magic and other than putting a blade through them I don't know how to counter it he added.

Re: Pursuing Templars

She steps in to help and proves knowledgable in knots and rigging these limbs into a Travois. By mid afternoon she has everyone organized and moving to the North Two of the horse have a trunk to drag and two have a wonded man to drag...all are on travois. The original pack horse is still carrying the camping gear. Everyone gets to walk.

Re: Pursuing Templars

OOC: Presumably at least one person would know where they are, or wher they're going (this is just part of the implicit assumptions before people just set out on a journey)

Wulfe let everyone walk for a few more hours until late afternoon had come and then said "We should set up camp early today, give ourselves plenty of time to find food and tend to these bastards"

I think that wise, and then we need to get above the trees far enough to see where we might be.

In reply to Emelia Hill (msg # 415):

Thomas will speak as soon as it becomes apparent that no-one actually knows where we are. If that is immediately after the fight, so be it.

"Hang on, if these are not your lands, how do we even know which direction to travel in? Herkimer, where have you brought us? We need to get to Emelia's lands Immediately!"

OK, No Back tracking... I will assume your question to Herkimer is in the later afternoon and that you have traveled miles from the site of the ambush.

Re: Pursuing Templars

Well, the mountains we want should be generally North... but we could be well off from Geden or my lands ... if I can see the Mountains I would have a vastly better idea. These are wild lands ... I see no trails or farms about. That may be good , or not.

In reply to Thomas O'Leary (msg # 419):

OOC-
You asked how far it was and that question was never answered... and truthfully, no one knows for sure... wasn't my intent to not answer, just got side tracked with the wounded issue.  The assumption that these were Emelia's lands was unanswerable as well ... she may have figured you knew that, but she did not.

My questions were to determine which direction we were to travel. Without that, how could we know which direction to travel in?

Re: Pursuing Templars

Basically because the only friendly land would be either west or north from Megalos... and the location you intended to go to was north of Megalos.

Re: Pursuing Templars

Going anywhere is easy enough, and North makes the most sense. Regardless, sticking around the ambush site has it's own risks

Anyway, you have moved roughly three hours or so north...

Herkimer looks around and sighs. This dingy place looked about the same as every other dingy place he had been.
