Joe:
The "Mark All As Read" button on the upper right corner of the game's threads listing. (Just remember you have to hit Game Menu on the lower right, or close and reopen the tab after. Or it will KEEP clearing out the red numbers whenever you refresh it).
That is, in fact, the pointless chore Chris speaks of. Since, you know, the red number have nothing to do with us and they become red often. :p
Joe:
Selfish admission: after this long to get involved on the inner plots train, I will tell an entire orphanage Santa Isn't Real (even though he is) to stay that way. Matt on Weston's already occasionally beating himself up over the fact while a Boss Fight was happening and he could have prevented (player willingness aside, I think it was pre-arranged dramatic death) somebody's death, he was off in a police station talking about his own. New Beginnings, I've already mentioned the facepalm it's taken to finally get involved with main plot.
So yeah, I have to admit that when it comes to Giant Comics, staying on Track is a bigger priority than hanging with Tim/Chris alts (even if both could happen at some point). Crazy I know, but better to admit it than otherwise.
I understand. Admittedly, the point was less about "Yay! Joe is going there!" and more about "Neat! Superhero place I don't have to run and loads of other new players are on." Although your very being there makes the place cooler (and adds validity; "Joe approved!").
I also understand you'd rather have a place that keeps going. I'm grateful you continue to RP with us in all the slower places, given that 2-3 posts a day is entirely too slow for at least 5 of my friends (Kalinka, Raikoo, Kelevor, Rick/Zero, Byron). I'd rather not be the reason to hold you up if possible.
For what it's worth, while I enjoy the places where it's just me, Joe and Chris (Hi, City of Heroes!), I think it's more fun when one or two more are involved (Hi, Mutations!). Which is part of the reason I'm still magnetized to the Giant Comics threads. But the challenge is finding a place to start and be able to keep RPing from there.
....at least it isn't City of Forbidden Desires (Anitaverse - Las Vegas), where you finally find some people to RP with, start getting into a good RP scene, and then GM announces "alright everyone! It's now 4 hours later! Move out of your scenes and into a new one!" ... >.> Sometimes, I'm tempted to one day go "My character sat there for 4 hours staring blankly, then continued the conversation where it left off."
ANYway... point is Maverick is too spyish for a place where it's hard enough to get involved. I keep thinking "If only I was playing Emerald, who's power IS communicating, I would get more RP", so I think I'mma app for her or something. Maybe "run" Maverick in the background as someone who just spies on people. Send PMs to the GMs that he's spying on X or Y. Who knows. Anyway...
So what IS the story with Weston and New Beginnings? One of the reasons I hesitate playing Emmy in NB is because they made it a point to say superpowers are hush-hush there. So I *thought* unless I give Emmy the ability to shapeshift, she'd be in serious trouble. Then they turn around and have the police act like Mittens being a cat is an every day occurrence. XD Meanwhile, Weston gave the impression they were retiring that place. Do you have any clue what's what for those two so I can figure out which, if either, I can go have fun at?
