Re: D&D From Taverns to Campsights
Elric ponders the situation and considers how the group can proceed without Khuridoth in fighting condition and decides upon, “So since we are down Khuridoth and Rush, since Rush will have to protect Khuridoth, I'll have to bring out my Homunculus Servant, while I'll have ready by the time we get where we are going. So once we get there, our best bet is to try to be somewhat stealthy, we'll need to know what sort of patrols and guard rotations they have going... we'll need a layout of the area, and where they are keeping Shayock since if we trip an alarm they might say 'surrender or Shayock dies'. Which we want to avoid. Fortunately, we have members of this group who can fly and are stealthy so they can observe and report back. My Homonculus servant can fly and attack at moderate ranges but is only mildly proficient in stealth but its better off as support than a lone scout. I can use some of my mixtures through it though which can help. But once we have an idea of where Shaylock is and how the guards are setup, we can quickly plan a route to preferably sneak in and get Shaylock out before they can try something. After Shaylock heals Khuridoth, we can finish off the remnants of this group of kidnappers if any survive our encounter since once we have Shaylock we can fight our way out if stealth fails, although our victory condition isn't killing them, it's getting ourselves and Shaylock safely to Khuridoth and Rush.”
Elric sighs as while he can plan things, he just prefers building, tinkering, and exploring over planning, which is one reason he likes leaving the planning to Khuridoth, but that isn't an option right now.
