City of Heroes: Freedom

It's another day in Paragon City. Heroes bashing skulls in. Skuls too. ;)
Emerald, the famous fox hero, is relaxing for the moment, over at the Atlas Park City Hall building, reading a book in the M.A.G.I. section... where all the magic users hang out. She has no idea that she is no longer the only fox around.

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Mittens all about her magic too, but seldom is anywhere near M.A.G.I.  But today she's paying the Supergroup Base Rent.

"I've long since forgotten...  What's the conversion rate for influence to prestige?"

"One moment...  1 million influence will buy you 2,000 prestige."

"Good grief.  Never mind."

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

An icy blue furred fox walks into the city hall building.  She's dressed in more normal street atire with a duffelbag slung over her right shoulder.  She pauses as she looks around.  It's a good thing the bus stopped in front of the Atlas Park, this small town fox is already quite lost.  "Ah.. excuse me?"  She asks a passerby, "Do you know which way the MAGI office is?"

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Kyle may not be a fox, but he seems to share the 'read hair' gig at least... Wait, Saphia is blue, Foxes are Blue?  Of course, Kyle is a guy who uses Blue fire instead of orange so who's he to talk?  Whatever (Kyle's a guy with sunglasses and bargain bin black and white mercenary style outfit for reference.  Hey, more pockets needed for all those web grenades, smoke grenades, etc).

"It's in the town hall past the giant globe carrying statue."   Why is there an explore badge on top of that? That is wrong for safety.  "I could show you to the place inside if you like?  Don't poke the displays they have in there though, for some reason they got a couple ancient danger artifacts and don't even rope them off."

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Emerald idly checks her datapad and sees a couple friends are around and available. She txts Mittens with a "Hi! :) What's up?" Thankfully, Safaia will soon be finding her way to Emmy.

Mits receives the text and replies.

"Oh hey, Emmy!  Just paying the SG rent.  Wunna team up for adventure and justice?!"

Mittens sends Emerald a team invite.  Upon noticing Kyle's available in the SG roster doohicky, she sends him and invite too.

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

The icy blue fox looks at Kyle and nods.  She looks at the building proper beyond the statues, and ohs softly.  "This place is so huge..  Largest statue we've got back home is well.. person sized.  My name's Safaia, Safaia Gaalaan.  Thanks for the help."  Doomy artifacts that aren't so much as roped off?  Must be some kind of Natural Selection test designed to weed out kids during field trips.

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

"Of course, they also have a Timegate in D.A.T.A.  I think it may be less tests or asking for trouble, and more that they just don't have anywhere else to put the stuff."   Kyle guesses those fancypants Midnighters only confiscated the 'useful' plot devices.  They even took the Magic Wand he had to build himself. On a technological workbench.  To cure a scientific genetic mutation...  Yeaaaaah.

As he leads the way he comments "Oh, right.  If anyone ever suggests you go into the sewers because it will be an easy time for fast rewards, do not listen to them.  It sucks down there and then everyone leaves you behind when they leave and you get lost and okay maybe I'm a bit bitter."  As they get to the 'big hall of offices', Kyle checks his messages, and clicks 'No' for the team offer.

Mr. Reply message to Mittens said:  'Showing a new arrival around, preferably without getting a face full of Zombie vomit.'

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Emerald logs on to the teaming network on her datapad and says, "Oh... then... you're right here with me! I'm in M.A.G.I., researching a thing or two. And look! I think our buddy Kyle's on. I might be able to go fight crime with you in a bit, but if you wanna join me in the arcane library here, come on over and say hi in person! :)"

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

"Well I was going to invite you to hang out with me and Emerald, but if you're going to be like that, then never mind," Mittens answers Kyle teasingly, "Good of you to help the noob.  Have fun with that."

In a flash, she's in the MAGI place with Emmy and gives a smile and a wave.

"Kyle's busy."

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Safaia stares at Kyle as they walk, "A.. Timegate?  And it works?  Without blowing up the time space.. jello pudding pop?"  She whistles softly.  She nods at the tip, "Right, got it, no sewers."  She hmms softly, "Say, you wouldn't happen to know of any fox super heroes, would you?"

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Kyle's wraparound sunglasses (Slick, for your character building future reference ;D ) as ever provide protection from Landmine shrapnel, and allow stealth eyerolls as in response to Mittens's latest text.  "Well, the thing only has one setting, I forget all the details why a specific branch of post apocalyptic future is considered so important though."

At Safia's more personally related question, he says "Yes actually.  She's even in Atlas at the moment."   He sees Mitten's speed by through the door first, "Well, that's convenient."   As they enter M.A.G.I, Kyle gestures towards Emerald and says "Red Fox, meet Blue Fox... Where's One Fox and Two Fox for the full Doctor Seuss Combo I wonder?"

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Emerald turns to look and blinkblinks. As if only half paying attention to what she's saying, she wistfully says, "Recluse's Victory is focused on because that branch of future happens to be trying to attack this branch of past..." then a smile slowly comes on her face. "A fox like me? I dunno what to... I mean I..." she looks pretty dumbfounded.

Mittens snickers.

"Cute.  I'll refrain from mentioning double the fun type chewing gum slogans.  Ooops.  Too late!  You happen to be a superhero type who refrains from foul language, would you, Blue?"

Safaia grins and even lets a little giggle escape her from Kyle's Dr. Seuss comment.   She smiles over to Emerald and Mittens and gives a small wave, "Hello there..  FOul language?  Not me, I try to avoid using it if possible.  My name's Safaia.  It's nice to meet you."

Re: City of Heroes: Freedom

Kyle swears like a time traveling sailor when soloing.  Of course, the fact he lights people on fire and uses landmines is considered perfectly moral.  It's a funny world.  "To continue the more proper introductions, I'm Kyle Crookes, this Is Mittens, and your fellow Fox is Emerald.  So, gems are also a theme here I guess, along with the whole Magical vibe considering the local of choice."
