Green Lantern Corp members come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. This is because only one is chosen from each given planet. But it's a highly populated place out there in the D.C. Universe. Emerald was chosen from her planet and has found most races are larger than her, though some are smaller.

Saving worlds is a common theme among Green Lanterns. Well that and saving the Universe itself. However, Emerald has discovered the job does not forbid her from exploring most planets (However, some planets have rules about visitors from off-planet). So today brings Emerald to Earth. One of the younger planets involved in the corp.

She had heard this planet had all KINDS of crazy continually assaulting it, so she came to check it out and maybe even lend a helping hand while she's there. :)

Mittens was chosen by one of the lantern rings for lack of a better choice at the time.  She's visiting Earth too, because... Half off special on kabobs!  :9

"I'll start with one with everything on it!"

No she doesn't use red energy.

Donovan is here too!  Granted he isn't a Green Lantern.  Nope, this five foot tall human is in a yellow and black uniform, chest bearing the emblem of the Yellow Lanterns, Sinestro's Lantern Corp, the Corp of Fear.  Not that fear is neccessarily a bad thing.  It helps keep the senses sharp, it hammers in survival instincts better than Rage (Red) or Wisdom (Blue).  Ultimately it is a power, and power alone is neither good nor evil, it's the wielder that determines it's alignment.

As for Donny, he's currently in the local marker doing some grocery shopping.  Apples, bananas, lettuce, hotdogs, milk, bread... Good stuff!

  Insert Color Here Lantern Rings.  Capable of making basically anything you can think out and put to a color coded glowy shape.

  Joe Darkthorne.  Son of David Darkthorne, aka 'Damnit Dad' to Joe.  He works at his fathers auto garage.  Possessor of low grade generic 'flying brick' aspects with a side in mental resilience and... Well, one last thing.  Joe dresses normally, and looks normal, go figure.  Cola is, one would suppose 'good stuff' in flavor if not health, and it is cola Joe is shopping for.

  He sees the previously post mentioned 'Obvious Yellow Lantern' grocery shopping.  He decides hostilities would be bad right now (It'd shake up his soda), but can't help but feel things will get out of hand anyways as he gos through the self checkout.

Emerald lands nearby and trots on over to her fellow lanterns. "Fancy meeting you here." she says to Mittens. She then double-takes, seeing a yellow-corp. Oh fun. Well no sense in starting anything. Besides a conversation with Mitts, of course. Emerald wonders if it's a good idea or bad idea to warn Mittens about the yellow-corp guy nearby. Knowing the adventure junkie, Emmy figures Mittens would probably mock the HELL out of the guy in hopes to get him to fight her.

Mittens is brand spanking new to this galactic cop job, but will concent to at least a little bit of basic training.  Such as the color coding.  And that Soda is good.

"Oooh!  And I'll have a soda like he's having!  Hey Emerald!  Always fancy meeting you, regardless of the location!"

To yellow lantern guy, she just gives a friendly smile and wave.  Take that, steroetypes!

Donny nabs one last item before checking out, a nice 2 liter bottle of neon green soda.  What?  Just cause he's with the yellows doesn't mean he can't enjoy something green.  He pays for his stuff, yes pays with authentic earthling money.  At which point he notices the Green Lanterns near by.  He hmms softly as he spots one waving to him.  He shrugs a bit to himself and grins before walking over, giving a wave with a free hand.  RIng powers are useful for carrying groceries don't you know.

"Hey there.  Enjoying the nice weather as much as I am?"

  Just because it is your own cart (made out of energy) doesn't mean cart racing is allowed in the isles.  Alongside the economy value that is the 'cube o cans', Joe submits to the price gouge involved with a cold refrigerated bottles...  He makes sure to keep a hold of his receipt just in case.

  Sure, the sane thing would be to leave. But Nooooo, he has to see how this turns out.

Emerald would facepalm, but she forces a smile instead, not wanting to look insulting. Besides... the guy didn't immediately attack them. "Earth has a very similar atmosphere to my own world. And this is about what a good day would be like there." she answers. "Is that what brings you here?"

"Looks more like a grocery run to me," Mittens surmises, "Good weather an added bonus, I imagine.  Yes!  The weather is quite agreeable, sir!  By the way, what's your name?  Mine's Mittens, and this is Emerald."

She glances at the nearby human watching the goings on, but decides against commentary.  Kabob and soda get!

"Mmmm.... Yum!  Earth noms are so yay!"

Donny chuckles and nods, "Yep, just on a grocery run.  Home isn't much fun without good stuff to eat."  He takes the bunch of bananas and plucks a few off it, offering one to Mittens and Emerald before nibbling one for himself.

"My name's Donovan, but my friends tend to call me Donny.  Grew up in the neighborhood near here actualy."  He looks to Emerald and smiles, "Well I'm glad the place is as nice as where you're from.  I've seen some planets where the natives wish they had it half as nice as a place like this."

  Joe as usual, finds it more amazing you can grow up someplace and never see someone who supposedly did too until that moment, than all the more crazy shenanigans that go on in life.  Case in point, color coordinated fuzzy girls.  "When I suggested once that the reason this planet is so popular is the snacks, I was joking.  Someone somewhere seems to have taken it literally."

Emerald takes the banana and begins eating it, then blinks and looks over at Joe. She giggles and says, "Actually, I'm just hear to see the famous planet Earth that seems to attract more problems than any other planet in the known 'verse and is still around anyway. Besides, it's my goal to visit every planet in this Universe. Maybe in others as well."

Mittens noms offered treat as well.

"What Emerald said.  Earth is also possibly the most badass planet in the entire 'verse!  You guy grew up here?!  Jeez.  I'm jealous!  My planet's dull by comparison.  Food's good, sure, but not worth all the adventure you guys get."

Donny looks to Emerald and hmms, "To see every planet in the universe and then some huh?  THat'll take a long time.."  Could be the foxy is immortal when it comes to aging so all the time in the world, so to speak.  He offers a banana to Joe too because well, why not.  And to Mittens he chuckles, "You know sometimes dull can be a good thing..  Sometimes Earth can be so hectic, I just want to go some place quiet and peaceful."

  Joe sees the yellow clad dude has fielded his thoughts regarding 'visit every world multiple universes'.  When they offer a Banana he says "Pass.  Me and bananas are a no go since way back."  One day long ago at summer camp, one banana too many for packed lunch.  NEVER AGAIN.

  At least Joe's got enough restraint to not vaporized bananas on sight though.

  "Well, if you could arrange for some of the worldwide threats to bother your planet instead of ours, that'd be great. Go for it, I'll cheer you on half heartedly."
