It's been one of those days. Joe has been off his mark more times than not, ran out of rations early because he forgot his ration bag needed to be sewed closed, and now he has fallen into a pit trap. Did we mention he forgot his rope and grapple which were still sitting there next to his chair at the tavern? Yup. One of those days. And he's out deep in the forest, far from civilization. Fun.

  Some days, your wisdom modifier was just no match for the dice.  At least landing on his feet and fall damage reduction was dice proof.  Joe opted to take a moment to examine how toughly packed the dirt walls around him were instead of muttering to himself.  Getting out would be easy, the main question was how long it would take.

Thoughts of minecraft come to mind...

Even as he's not mumbling to himself, Joe sees a freckly red-haired elf with a bow peeking down. Her arrow is knocked, but pointed away. When she sees Joe, the elf says in an apologetic tone, "Oh... I'm sorry. We weren't expecting any humans in this area."

Another voice can be heard, this one male, saying, "Human? Well humans tend to be varied in their alliances." the source of the voice, a taller-than-the-redhead elf with long blond hair looks down at Joe with a cold expression.

  "I tend to wander around too much to have any particular allegiance beyond trying not to be a jerk." Also to tone down the arson, but that hasn't been a problem since he lived Luskan anyways.

  "Today has not been one of my finer days to avoid looking like an idiot though.  Could I please get a little help here, or should I start working on getting up myself?"

The male elf says, "Alexis... help the man out."

Alexis lowers a rope. "Climb up... it's fastened."

Once Joe is out of the hole, he can see the two elves are not alone. There are 5 others. "Like it or not, human, this land is currently under alert. So you are our prisoner."

Alexis says, "But if it will improve your stay, consider yourself a guest... with very strict rules. And if you need anything, please ask."
