Re: Thunderspire Laberynth (part 2)
Kablam! Another beam of light slams the raider for attacking not-Dido. "You know? Times like this, I'm glad the enemy doesn't understand me."

He throws his hammer from where he is and the hammer clocks the raider in the cheek, shattering a cheek bone! Then flies back to Dido's hand.

Re: Thunderspire Laberynth (part 2)
The healthier raider side-steps away from Kitau then leaps off the ledge to attack Dido.  And hits!

<abyssal>"Their healer is making that gnome invincible!  And the rest of them are tearing us up!  We should run or beg for mercy!"

The priestess is annoyed.  <abyssal>"Show some backbone!  Fight to the death!"

Re: Thunderspire Laberynth (part 2)
Terdisas taps his staff against the floor, and a bolt of lightning slams down from the ceiling to, once again, faceplant a harpy.

It's still alive, and conscious, but it's probably going to be unfavorably compared to a Bald Eagle for a while if it survives today.

CRIT: Pinning bolt.  Knocks prone. Slowed until end of my next turn.
Harpy HP: 6 left.

Kitau bounces the butt of her javelin off the face of the nearby raider, knocking him out, catches the returning javelin, then throws it into the priestess!  The priestess hisses and retaliates with another water cannon attack, bloodying Kitau!

Re: Thunderspire Laberynth (part 2)
Callie kisses her fingertips while rushing forward and as she passes Kitau, she taps Kitau on her knobby gnomish nose, healing the living blender for most of her injuries.

When Callie comes to a stop, she places her bastard sword across her shoulders and holds a holy symbol shaped like a crescent moon towards the priest. A beam of grey-blue light hits the priest, hurting it, while Callie's sword shoots a beam of light at Kitau, giving her a temporary forcefield. "Dunno if you understand me, but you are losing fast! This is your one and only chance to surrender! If you can't speak our language, well, too bad, you attacked us, so you WILL die if you do not surrender!"

Dido doesn't want the priest getting away, so he breaks away from the raider, letting his armor take a glancing blow as he charges the priest! Which he hits! "I'll make sure this one doesn't escape!"

The raider roars angrily that Dido escaped his attack!  So it swim-charges the Paladin and stabs him in the back with his trident!

Terdisas is once again reminded why every time he slots an AoE power, he never ever ever ever uses it.  Friendly fire is a serious hazard.

So defaulting to lightning arc it is!  Worse default solutions to have though, especially when they hit. zappy zappy.

OOC: Lightning arc. Hits. 18 DMG, and 4 arc to Raider 2.

Kitau tries to get to the priestess, but can't quite get there fast enough, so she tosses her javelin at the raider along the way, skewering him!  He shrieks in pain and the water turns red with his blood.  The javelin rips out of him and returns to Kitau's hand.

The priestess glares defiantly at Dido.  "You want some of this?!"

She shifts back and blasts him hard with her water cannon!

"Take that!"

Dido gets closer to the priest and says, "Your attacks are for nothing; My allies can keep me healthy even as they tear your and yours apart."

He almost offered surrender again... but Callie said "last chance", so... Dido decided not to contradict her.

Re: Thunderspire Laberynth (part 2)
Kitau switches to her axes and leaps off the ledge with a warcry to land on Dido's shoulders!  ...slips off, slams against his armor on her way down, misses her flailing swing against the priestess, and plunges head-first ignominiously into the water!

Then the pirana bubbling effect from earlier appears below the priestess, water and blood spurting up around her as she screams in agony, being pulled down by the viscous fighter, hack by dismembering hack.  Soon all that's left of her is giblets.

Kitau peeks up from under the surface, coughing and gasping violently from all the water she inhaled.

Callie shines her holy symbol at the remaining enemy, burning him with sacred fire that water can not quench!

Dido hugs Kitau to help her keep afloat. He smiles at here. "Looks like you shut up that annoying brat."

Callie rushes over. "Kitau? Are you OK?"

Meanwhile, Superbird renters existence with a stock Hanna Barbera cartoon noise.  "Chirp, don't say I never did anything for a fight."

The shadow that was hovering above the water casts a glare at Corvus that would send shivers down anothers spine, but he holds eye contact and simply nods as the spirit vanishes shouting one last phrase in abyssal.

Corvus moves to the two in the water and extends his staff so they can pull themselves up. "I feel sorry for anyone who gets on our bad side, they seem to end up dead."

Kitau, still coughing, gives Callie a thumbs-up.  She's sure to clean off as much blood as she can while in the water before climbs up using the assists offered by the two manly mages, looking embarrassed for all the coughing.

"Thanks for the heals," she says with a grumpy blush.

To Superbird, she thumbs-ups.

She considers Corvus' comment.  "I don't feel sorry for them."

When everyone is out of the water, Dido knocks on his shield with a bright smile. "...who knew this would come in so handy?"

Callie pets Kitau lovingly and looks at the group. "Another rest is in order."

The two halflings sit, back-to-back. Dido says, "I miss Mittens and her ability to dry us off instantly."

Callie says, "We'll find her. Just a matter of time."

"You wouldn't have to feel sorry for them if they were not so set on being violent maniacs to the end."  Well, more than the party is, at least.  The party at least gives token offers of letting things stop before party wipes.
