Re: 01 Destined of Arvandor: Odd Kinship
Faerema takes the offered cloak and puts it in, hugging it close to herself, hands to her chest. "....thank you." She turns to look at Lerkeeb and says, "I am not like that. I have grown tired of the ways of my people and wish to be rid of it. I am merely surprised you are so trusting. If what my people told me of the innocent naivety of surface dwellers is true... I wish to be like that. I do not want to live in fear."
June nods. "I wouldn't call it naivety, Faerema. Innocence? Perhaps... but not naivety. Trust is a strength, not a weakness. These fine men and I are simply giving you our trust so that you can prove that trust worth it and, in turn, trust us. Give yourself time... you will find after a few nights, or maybe as long as a few months, that you can trust us not to hurt you."
