  In what Kyle hopes isn't becoming a trend, he takes his turn without bothering to stand up.

  At least this time he has the excuse of 'I was Dazed', but we all know he would have still used proxy powers while laying prone if he wasn't with the enemy placements at this moment in time.

Also yeah, the vast majority of "Oh my god it's like X song!" stuff in Undertale didn't surprise me.  Though the Waterfall one is a large enough difference for you to basically need it pointed out (Though nowhere near as much as a No Mercy specific one being 'this is literally impossible to know without playing with speeds')

May hops up and charges the tormenting ghost as if she hadn't been dazed! WHACK! She honestly can't think of anything witty to say at the moment since these monsters have managed to be positioned in the most annoying way possible.

The wrath spirit to the north re-grows its head, rips it off, and throws it at Mittens.  The screaming ghostly head explodes on impact!  One of the wights barfs itself inside-out!

The tormenting ghost next to May floats there, wiggling its fingers at her.

"Your soul is...?  It's not working.  Gimme a second...."

"I'll give you eyebeams!" Mits hollers.  ZAP!  She slices through the three ghosts!

Raichel moves south to the Wrath and says, "Do that again and I'll make your other head explode." She swings her staff at the thing and the staff just goes right through.

He bursts with a heal for himself and his sister and then points at the tormenting ghost, "Your power is useless because I command it." before moving south the wrath.

The wrath spirit next to Rai takes a swing at her with a ghostly sword, but Rai dodges!  The burning wight drops to its knees and burns to ash!

  Kyle finally gets up, more surprised at his friends inuries than his own comparative lack of them.  Which itself is surprising, normally he's slightly outside the blast radius spam.

  He shoots the Not A Ghost Ghost (otherwise it would be vulnerable to Radiant by default) in the face, the bolt passes through but the arcane force (HAH) sends it sprawling to the ground front of May's boots.

  "I am displeased with these things. They have that over Exarchs."

May whacks the tormenting ghost again and says, "Displeased? I'm not sure I understand... you were pleased with the exarchs?" she looks at the tormenting ghost. "Sorry. We don't got all day. If Tim's barred your power, can't help ya."

ZAP!  Mits downs the tormenting ghost and a vengeful spirit.

"Displeased as opposed to the likely disappointment with the exarchs.  Me, I'm angry."

Raichel says, "Imagine how I feel! I'm the one who got embarrassed in front of you and wound up missing one of your cool kabooms!"

With that, she charges north and smacks the last enemy a good one in the face so hard, he goes spiraling into being flanked by Rai and May!

Timothius simply moves up to the wrath to enclose the thing while also giving it a penalty to attacks. "This fight's almost done anyway."

Double move
Been forgetting saves v weakened. 8, 4, 1, so we'll just say oh well there.

  Kyle shoots ghost.  It's moderately effective!  Which means close enough to finish the job in this case.

  "The Exarchs barely hurt you, but that is not something to be disappointed with."

May ohs at the explanations. Then grins and thumbs-up at Kyle. "Nice shot! Now let's make sure everyone's good to go before we move on."

Mits rushes over to glomp Rai.

Her voice shakes as she says, "No worries, Rai.  I'll show you a mini version.  ...In a bit."

  He nods to May, who of course knows a good weapon moment when she sees it.  Kyle checks on Timothius, then.  "I know you've dealt with worse, but are you all right?"  Nevermind that Kyle has 2 less HP than you right now, he's still lost less than you have this fight.

Timothius says, "I'm OK... if shaken by what happened to Raichel. Thanks, Kyle." and with the wave of a hand, Kyle is healed to full before Tim does the same to himself. He gives Raichel a hug also.

Raichel hugs her siblings back and says, "...sorry to scare you all. On the bright side, I guess we've learned it best to just fly the whole way and avoid these cracks in the ground whenever possible?"

May says, "We should be good to go if we keep a wide berth around pitfalls, yeah."

handwave. Took down Tim and Kyle's surges by 1 and healed them to full because we know Tim can. not bothering to heal May or Rai to full because surges matter.

A bit of travel later, and the group finds the palace.

The brooding cathedral looms before you, an ugly thing
that is squat and unadorned aside from the rainbow glass
plates set around the ornately carved iron doors. Before
the structure stand the remains of a once-impressive statue
carved from solid obsidian. Only the legs, part of the waist,
and sword blade remain, but you can tell it depicted a
female warrior. Black dust and broken statuary litter the
ground all around the statue, and rubble from an older
structure covers the cathedral’s grounds.

 Shattered Gith
Gith’s statue, standing at the highest point in the
Queen’s District, has long stood as a reminder of the
legendary hero’s sacrifice and as an inspiration to continue to fight in her name. Vlaakith CLVII’s aborted
attempt to seize the divine spark within the One in
the Void caused shockwaves to wash across the district, toppling Gith’s intimidating statue and the Old
Palace of Whispers on which the Chromatic Bastion
now stands.

Mits stares at the structure.  "Something inside me is strongly tempted to knock and say, 'Food delivery!'"

  "I still have Sweetheart confections. But I doubt they would appreciate a candygram."  Kyle doubts they will have time to bust out a casual restoration ritual on the statue, just for the paranoia it would cause to later investigating evil people.

May predicts the outcome of Mitts' proposal, "But nobody came."

She walks forward and kicks the doors open, weapons ready!

Timothius and Raichel stay back, as usual. Difference is now they are about 30 feet from May and each other.

A blackened spine hovers before an iron door across the
room. Pale blue light from the flickering torches glint off six
bright amethysts set into each bone ring. The spine casts
a queer shadow on the white tile floor, suggesting that of a
tall, thin female humanoid.

DC 31 Shadows in the room’s corners seem to move independent of the light source, coalescing into vague humanoid
figures.

The spine speaks!  <Supernal>"Ha-HA!  Intruders!  Good!  Though I am forced to fight you, Zech'r'r failed to compel me to refrain from telling you everything I know to aid you in finding and killing him!"

Antechamber
Adventurers destroyed Vlaakith CLVII and sundered
her phylactery, but Zetch’r’r’ preserved the LichQueen’s essence in her spine and bound her to his
service with terrible oaths. To show his scorn for his
predecessor, he reduced her to a common sentinel.

When Zetch’r’r came to power, the githyanki believed
the Lich-Queen was well and truly dead. However,
the new emperor discovered that a piece of her
remained: her spine. Through dread magic, Zetch’r’r
bound her spirit to the spine and extracted oaths of
service from it, transforming the dead Lich-Queen
into a form of demilich. As long as Zetch’r’r lives,
Vlaakith would serve.

  "Why can't more of our enemies realized how terrible their employers are?"

Two wraiths phase through the walls to flank May!  One of them hits with its chilling, necrotic sword!  The other recoils in horror from Timothius' aura of peace.

"Wh.. What is this pressure I'm feeling?!" it's ghostly voice whispers.
