The gish rushes May and double attacks.  Dealing no harm.  The ghost gashes Kyle then backs away from Mits' pinapple before it pops.  An ice devil spears Mits and backs away from his pinapple.

A new enemy appears and approaches, slow clapping.

The githyanki before you can only be Zetch’r’r. He has the
bearing of a veteran warrior and is not slowed by the black
plate armor covering his body. A crude iron crown rests on
his brow, a ruby-encrusted scepter hangs from his weapon
belt, and a silver sword rests easy in his hand. He glowers
at you with his one good eye--the other is gone and in its
place is a fat onyx stone.
“You are a troublesome company. I credit you for your
persistence, but now . . . now, it is time for you to die.”

Attending Zetch’r’r are four handmaidens, fanatical
githyanki warriors with intricate tattoos covering
their bodies. They wield long, serpentine daggers.

One of them teleports in with him.

Raichel's voice goes from her normal girl voice to her burning energy voice as she says, "If I die today, Zetch'r'r... I'm taking you with me!"

Time freezes for everyone for a moment. The sky filled with still images of the battle above. The room filled with frozen combatants engaged in a fight. Silence accompanies this moment of frozen time. Then, while everything else is frozen, a sphere of pure lightning expanding from Raichel before imploding back to her. When it collides with Raichel, there is a loud crack like lightning striking where she stands and in her place is a different version of the girl. She has a lightning bolt at the tip of her electric-cord tail. Her ears look like bolts of lightning. Her skin now covered in an orange tone and her tiger-striped cheeks now have yellow circles in their place.

Time returns to normal the moment the thunderclap happens, but it is clear now that just as Zetch'r'r had his little slow-clap monologue, it is the heroes' turns to do as much before the fight breaks out.

Timothius looks shocked (unintended pun, but keeping it anyway) at the transformation, but manages to keep his head in the game. He has seen an exarch crushed under a plushy, after all. He closes his eyes. "No, Zetch'r'r. None of the heroes of light die today. And you will be sad to find that you too will not die."

He is glowing. He has been able to since the group started adventuring. But his glow gets brighter until nobody can look at him and all have to hide their eyes. Well... except his allies, who see pretty much just a humanoid silhouette made of light that then sprouts feathery wings. A choir sound can be heard as if angels are singing Timothius' inauguration into their fold.

The light dies down and in his place is a fluffy white kitty with angelic wings, a bushy tail, and a halo. In a musically soft voice, Timothius says, "You will face justice... forever."

May had to see these things, so she never hid her eyes the whole time. Besides... she trusts her allies to not blind her without warning "cover your eyes" or something.

Having seen the twins transform, she comments in an awed tone, "Awe-inspiring as always. I love you guys..." She then looks at Zetch'r'r. "Tell me that wasn't cool. You can't! OK ok... umm... my turn. Ummmm..."

She stomps on the ground. "Rawr!" she looks around at herself. "...just pretend I changed into something cool like the twins just did, OK?"

  Kyle checks his crossbow.

  Oh, a cog has been out of alignment this whole time since level 1, how embarrassing.  He knocks it into proper position, much better.

  "I expect the worst part of dying for you, Zetch'r'r, will be that you are no longer in the presence of my friends."

  Kyle's 9 Charisma increases to 10, Flip Clock style.

When baddie showed up, Mits checked a few things off her checklist.  Once he was done monologing, her hair started getting all miyazaki-style floaty as she pointed her finger dramatically, about to give a come-back.

Raichel gives a confident, challenging smile to Zetch'r'r. Her voice sounding a bit more adult-like (with an after-effect echo that sounds like liquid energy), she says, "Put up or shut up, Clappy."

Lightning streaks through the air, the sound of ripping atmosphere traveling to Zetch's smug face and turns into a fist made of lightning that punches him in the nose, causing him a broken nose! WHAM!

  "Here you go, Mittens."  There is no consistent look for the Sigil of Luck.  Because Luck itself isn't consistent.  We file this under the 'More of an Art than a Science' portion of magic.

Two more handmaidens enter and join their master.  The marut double attacks Timothius and slashes him!  It then backs away from his pinapple, but gets punched back near to the wall by Timothius!

"We got 'em right where we want 'em!"

The two ice devils blast the area with cold!  They both then step away from their pinapples.

"Hahaha KABOOM!" one of the storm devils cheers as he kersplodes the same area, blasting Mits silly!  Kryizoth fires a dark beam at Mits but misses.  The second storm devil blasts the same area, shoving Timothius into the wall and Kyle over near Raichel!

Mits, Kyle, May, and Timo are all dazed until the end of their next turns.

Timothius shakes off the daze and heads over to the center of the room, not needing to use his wings yet. He smiles and bursts with energy, causing the entire room to get a crystallized sheen. The walls and floor seem to twinkle with stars. In that musical voice, in a tone that suggests he is a parent and the enemies are toddlers, he says to the enemies, "Nice tries. But not enough just yet."

The walls vanish and a ghostly image of the mausoleums the group passed on the way to the Chromatic Bastion appear.  Ghostly images of the heroes fighting wrath spirits, slaughter wights, and a tormenting ghost appear, replaying the scene from earlier.



The blast from the past is too much for the devils, and all but one collapse!  Mittens' flower transforms into a tiny seed that begins to orbit her head like an Ioun stone.  She smiles at her sis and winks.

OOC: Honestly, I'd expect Mittens to be more at home with Saint Seiya style feeling Cosmos-*manly laser punches exploding into a Pegasus constellation while 80s music plays* ooooow.

The dracolich steps closer and blasts the heroes with a blast of icy black necrotic energy, stripping away their resistances!

May stomps her foot, loosing herself from dazed and then trots up to the chosen gith, grabs him by the leg, twirls him around like she was competing in discus throwing, and tosses him across the room in an incredible show of strength even for her! The gith goes flying 35 feet before slamming into one of the ice devils! "Hi Winterdeath! I am May! Oh and your seed doesn't miss you. It didn't mention anything about its parents."

The sheer force of Angry Echo Mits' continual damage makes Zetch’r’r's fake obsidian eye fall out of it's socket!  He grits his teeth against the pain and begins to slowly struggle forward.  He reaches his hand forward and Mits is slammed with enough force to nearly drop her to her knee.

"I will rule this city!  And your pathetic Material world as well!"

With an impressively deft maneuver, the emperor stabs Mits through her belly and out her back!  He then slings her around to be behind himself and recovers his now crimson silver sword from her with a twist of the blade!

The chosen gish struggles to his feet, as the force of the Echo Mits makes a nearby ice devil crumble to dust.  He stumbles as he fires a bolt of force at Timothius, missing entirely.

"They're too strong, Emp...  Ah to hells with it.  You're an idiot and a prick!  I'll smile if I get to see them take you down before me!"

Raichel teleports up to Zetch'r'r, flanking him with Mittens, and palms him in the chest, causing him to vanish for a second while Raichel thwacks the dragon, only to turn around and face the now-teleported-behind-Raichel Zetch'r'r. "Who has who where they want them, Zetch'r'r?"

Lightning is zapping off Raichel at random. One bolt misses Zetch, but another hits him anyway and two more hit the dracolitch and the chosen.

She then puts a fist into a hand in a martial-arts style salute before the two of them are surrounded in an arena. "There is no escape, Zetch'r'r." WHAM! Actual fist to the already-broken nose! "Last chance: Surrender."

  "Raichel, could you hurry up with whoever it is in there with you so we can move onto more important things?"

The boasting lych fires a bolt at the immobilized Mittens... and misses.  "To the hells with you!  You cannot dodge this!"

He rushes over to be next to Mits to catch her in his dark aura!  The storm devil courses with lightning.

"Hmm... Eenie meanie miney... MOE!"

It blasts the area between Timothius and May!  May is zapped and blasted back fifteen feet!

Timothius waves a hand, reverting all the damage done to Mittens. He then flies over to be near Mittens. On his way, Zetch slashes at Timothius! But Timothius does a barrel roll and blocks the slash with his wings before landing and says, "Now feel the same."

With that, he holds up his coinpurse and blood begins ripping from the enemies. Even as this is happening, Timothius BURSTS with light, causing the enemies to feel so naked, they wonder if they are wearing skin, much less clothes.

Once again, a blast from the past shows up to slam the enemy!



The braggy zombie fire mage is burned to ash!  Mits winks at the enemy, and another massive blast vaporizes the dracolich!  Zech'r'r's face is melting and he drops to his knee!

May is enraged. This is the second time she got shoved. She didn't use her immune to forced movement stance because she wasn't close enough to the action to bother (if she moves, the power ends).

With as much strength as she demonstrated by throwing that gith 35 feet earlier, May kicks the storm devil in the crotch! WHAM! The devil goes flying. May yells, "You keep getting in my way! Now I will MAKE you my way!"

May darts towards Zetch'r'r, reaches up an empty hand to catch the now-falling storm devil, grabs it by the leg and slams the devil into Zetch'r'r, causing the two to kiss (if the kiss shatters teeth) and then slams the devil onto the ground before pointing down at it, "Give me ONE good reason I shouldn't keep you as my personal pet and shame you for the rest of my natural life?!"

The devil is too unconscious to answer. But May doesn't look like she's in any mood to care about such details.

As promised, the last enemy smiles to see Zech'r'r defeated by the heroes.

He turns the handle of his sword out and points the tip at his heart and falls forward in order to have physics jam his sword through his chest!  But the heroes are lightning fast.  Any of them can stop him from his suicide if they choose to.
