In reply to Hathra Bonecrown (msg # 25):
I was concerned my unusual brevity would confuse the situation. I'm not sick, in fact I wrote that message 3 times to try to illustrate sympathy, not to divert focus to myself. I utterly failed. Dx. I should have said that I'm sorry for...Ghanek Brightwave. I know what It's like to no longer be "sick" but have pretty much the same lingering symptoms.
I wanted very much to show solidarity, and NOT divert attention. Saying "I know what it's like" seemed lazy, and in truth I've felt like a respiratory illness overstayed It's expected term.
Anyway, I check messages, because I take GM rank seriously, and I've had very few, but very sour times games have had bitter isers. I never expect it, nor did I when it happened. I know in 99% of cases It's unnecessary, but if an issue occurs in a mature or especially adult game, I need to be on top of it. The mods are very generous to let me keep games "active" during my many breaks.
On the vein of practice, I personally have a rule to post when I log in. Usually with shorter msgs, but just to show I'm not ghosting. It bothers me when I play and GMs do that. Maybe It's also annoying for these non-updates. Red should mean attention.
I'll try to be more clear, but brief though. Surely posting from this phone asks it.
Christmas will suck, as the place I stay has it above, while I sit alone in the basement, but I have my PC. I'll decorate in fallout 4. I will have better years. At least I'm not in the car.
