With best wishes and a sincere suggestion that they remain in contact with him, the group departed Scotland Yard with a plan to meet back up at Dr. Elias's suite at the Savoy later that evening to discuss plans going forward.
Amboy and ten Boom conducted several personal errands before meeting Dr. Elias at the Aerodome near Croydon so that he could have a look at her passenger aircraft, a Fokker F.VII Trimotor, a well maintained craft that was clearly capable of carrying himself and his companions as well as their baggage. Avery had arranged for refreshments, provided courtesy of the hotel staff, and new arrivals were greeted by the dour but competent valet and shown to the suite's spacious sitting room.
