Re: OOC

Sure, here's my thoughts, your psi-powers can derive from this atomic level manipulation. In theory psi-craft could work on this basis any way with our brains accessing this manipulation on a subconsious level.  I don't see why you can't function just like a psi person.

I would add some powers that make your STRING/psi-craft special, like manipulating fields of energy, manipulating portals, exorcising creatures, banishment stuff, closing off the open fields around creatures that don't normally exist here.

Pick the powers you want with your psionics. Pick some sense stuff too.

Re: OOC

I think the sorcery from Runequest is a little more juicy, is this the system that you want to use?

Re: OOC

Orlando, give me two days to figure what powers I'm going for, you know what you're focusing on? What specific powers you'll be using?

Re: OOC

I have updated the roll methods in character creation.  you can roll for your stats.

Send them over to me in a private message and we can keep them safe until the character sheet is loaded.  That should be sometime this week.

And Orlando, I do like the Runequest sorcery system better.

Why don't both of you choose powers you like, and then get together and adjust a few of them.  I want you to have things you want.  Sometimes redundancies in powers aren't bad at all.

Re: OOC

Max/Orlando - are either of you looking at any healer-like powers?

I'm thinking we could use someone (maybe not one of us three) that has some group-defensive sort of powers. Think force fields and damage reduction powers.

This hit-point location system can be brutal.

In reply to Edmund Kirby Smith IV (msg #36):

I was noticing that, hopefully some of the defense powers will help out.  Seems like shit could go bad fast.  Kind of realistic in a way.

I can pick some healing powers, I'll focus on that actually and I will get some defensive powers as well for the group. From my back ground it is what I was probably going to do anyway.

Re: OOC

Awesome, that should help a great deal. I'm looking at a hand-to-hand and ranged damage type. Though not your overt glowing plasma hand way. Kirby's a bit more subtle than that. :)

Re: OOC

Max, when is the show airing and what time?

I have also added two martial arts to the house rules thread.  Attacking and defensive martial arts.

I plan on creating a kickboxing/submission grappling martial art and maybe a weapons martial art, that is stackable with the other martial arts.

Let me know what you think.

Work has been kicking my butt, I will hopefully have the character sheet all wrapped up within the week and we can make characters.

It airs on Mondays at 8? on SyFy channel. But it also repeats at different times during the week. It was a bit of a slow start but had some great ideas for powers.

In reply to Orlando Tibbs (msg #44):

Just canceled HBO and switched over to Showtime - Game of Thrones is over and "The Franchise", which is falling the SF Giants around all year, is now on Showtime. So I gotta have Show to see that show. :)

So, not watching Trueblood - though I know it's a great show.

For skills are we using the Atribute + Atribute method for starting score? If so, what would they be fore the following:

Computer (Int + Pow? or Intx2 ?)
Education (Int + Cha? or Intx2 ?)
Status (CHA + Int? Cha + SIZ?)

In reply to Edmund Kirby Smith IV (msg #46):

Computer/Technical use: Intx2

Education: Int x2

Status: Cha + Pow

And we are using the two stats put together to make the base score.

Re: OOC

I have updated the character creation and house rules threads to let everyone know which aspects of the books we will be using.

The point is to make fluid play, once we start to play it will make more sense and wont be too cumbersome.

Re: OOC

I have updated the houserules portion including the power extra energy as a skill now. It is no longer a power. This way everyone can get this ability and increase their power points. The way it was written before only superpowered individuals could get extra energy, that's not fair. Mutations are really the only power catagory left without the ability to utilized Extra Energy as their abilities don't use power points, but Mutations mixed with another catagory could still use the skill, which could be a very nice blend.
