VnV Earth

A place to work on a common universe for gamemasters that would like to create one. So this might be a good place to say that you are going to run a game in San Francisco and want it to be part of this common universe.

Re: VnV Earth

London is a great city for stories; like a lot of the 'old world' locations, it has so much history. Prague is another, and Instanbul/Constantinople, of course.  Cairo would be great for a real down and dangerous storyline.

Re: VnV Earth

Atlanta gets short shrift in most comics, but it would be a great area for superheroics.  The geographical and technological hub of the South, with a long and storied history.

It only really lacks three things that any good superhero city should have: 1) docks, 2) a nearby nuclear plant, and 3) a Chinatown suburb.

Re: VnV Earth

SF Bay Area is great, as is Los Angeles.

Mutants & Hi Tech Robots & Exoskeletons & maybe even aliens already exist here.

Re: VnV Earth

My old campaign (which we GM-shared amongst the group) was set in the SF Bay Area.  :)

If I were gonna run a game now, I'd really consider setting it in the 1940s...

Re: VnV Earth

How about fighting Nazi Zombies? There is a great horror film from Sweden ( I think) called "Dead Snow" about that.

Re: VnV Earth

I saw it a few years back. I am a Delta Green fan and someone turned me onto it when it came out.

Re: VnV Earth

So, on the V&V Earth topic, I consider my current V&V game (which is currently not accepting any more applicants) to be in the same universe as the Naptown Knights and the other game by the same GM (The one with Bonespike).  I also consider characters from the "Tampa Titans" game to exist in the game world.

Re: VnV Earth

I think that universe is probably the best starting point for a unified RPOL universe. Of course in comics there are other dimensions.

But I think those starting characters and groups are a great starting place.

Re: VnV Earth

I will probably clean up the non game related posts from this thread so we can get back on topic after a couple days.

Re: VnV Earth

Clean away!

Actually our OOC is OOOC, which may have been a typo but I think it should stay that way.
Sorta like waaaaaay OOC?

Re: VnV Earth

The current 'gameworld' of the campaign I'm running on here is set far enough into the future that it could be possible to set it in the same universe. Besides, the current arc is the only one that's been on Earth.
