Please....

I can see, that players are looking at the option to revamp their characters.  It's been suggested that we no longer organize by movement profile, i can accept this.  It's been suggested to organize by like characters/players together, to be able to work 'better'.

To try and keep the Aggressive sorts apart from the professional sorts.

To keep the Knife fighters apart from the Snipers.

With this in mind, please classify yourself.

Aggressiveness...

Ruthless ~ You're absolutely pragmatic.  This is a war, and wars are meant to be won.  You dont do that by granting the enemy any quarter, and you're willing to reciporcate and not expect any in return.

Realistic ~ You're here to fight to win.  You dont do that by being nice.  That said, you're aware that what comes around goes around.  You try and keep it professional... most times, though when you think you can get away with it and no one is looking you dont mind stomping someone when he's down or chasing down a choice piece of salvage trying to withdraw.

Professional ~ War is a brutal by nature, it doesnt need any help.  It doesnt hurt to be professionaly and maintain a level of civility about it.  It's never a bad thing to cultivate a merciful nature, you never know when it's going to be reciporcated.

Play style...

Knife Fighter ~ You advance aggressively, willing to accept damage to open up the opportunity to force the Op Force to accept damage.  The theory is, as long as you do more damage to them, than they do to you that victory is assured.

Opportunist ~ You try for a balance of the extremes.  You're willing to engage in a ranged duel, though youre not afraid to close to knife fighting ranges, youre just more cautious about it than the knife fighter.

Sniper ~ You linger back, making the best use of your longer ranges.  It's less exciting, and requires more patience, but if your enemy cant inflict damage on you, victory is assured.  If they do, you'll be able to read the writing on the wall sooner and have a better chance to withdraw in to order.

Re: Please....

Halo is a Realistic Knife Fighter.

Halo is professional, but isnt above stomping on the bad guys when they're down.  What goes around comes around, and they're trying to stomp on us, so she has no problems returning that favor.  This sentiment is not so strong that she can't be professinal and let a fight go, if the situation is appropiate.  As a knife fighter, she takes a fair bit of damage, and as a knife fighter it can be  hard to just 'let it go' when she's just taken a nasty exchange with the Op Force.

She's a Knife Fighter first and foremost, she'll always be moving in aggresively to engage the op force.  Those of you that have played with me know that i'm not afraid to roll in and take damage, and i expect those that i lance with to be willing to do the same.  Halo definitely wont play nice with Snipers looking to avoid damage, since that will simply mean that more damage is applied to her, and others who advance with her.
Holiday is a Professional Opportunist.

War is brutal and ugly.  As a conventional pilot, youre just a bad critical from being ousted into a bad infantry scenario waiting for Bravo to come save your butt.  The sooner the fight ends, the better, if that means being civil and just letting them go, it's not a bad thing.  What you lose in salvage you save in parts and dispossed soldiers.

She's an opportunist, it is always going to be my natural tendacy to roll in exchange damage and then start on the next one.  You just have to pick your moments with care when youre in conventional units, because you cant have a 'fair' exchange an expect to walk away from it every mission.  The Odds will catch up sooner or later.

Re: Please....

first, I think mixing knife fighters and snipers would be a great idea.

Camille: Professional (unless the widows are involved), sniper with a slight opportunistic bent
With a heavier mech that offers the option she will instead become a professional opportunist
James:   Professional VTOL Sniper.

if necessary:
Althea: ruthless opportunist (and a loon to boot)

In reply to MW Caitlin Mallory (msg #4):

Professional Sniper. If I could have started with a mech that could have supported the Missile launches I wanted I would have gone that direction, but LL are where I am at at this point.

Re: Please....

I agree with Camille.  2 Knife fighters with 2 Snipers/Opportunistics makes a good lance.

Devlin is Professional Knife Fighter.
