Few Ideas and Seeking Interest Levels
Hello Gang, I'm new here (not from gaming or PbPs) and decided to just jump in the water and worry about the depth later. I've run games in the past and some of these ideas are related to those games while others are new.
I'm looking to see what tickles everyones fancy here with a mix of old school with a little moderately new (I don't do those 4th and 5th and 55th edition things). So, here go my options.
1. Star Trek (Decypher); Into the Unknown. The crew is assigned to the S.S. Pegasus an Exelsior class patroling around the Beta Quadrant between DS4 and Romulan Borders. Three traders end up missing, but sent out distress calls prior to vanishing. While investigating, the ship is damaged by a Saboteur which leads the crew into an even bigger mess to deal with.
2. 0 level DnD 3.5 Unsuspecting Heroes. The party is a group of ordinary teenagers doing ordinary teenage things in this middle ages style township. The village is attacked and most of the adults either killed or enslaved. The kids have to figure out what exactly is going on, how they can help, and save the village. This is an ongoing campaign that continues after the initial story.
3. VtM 20th Aniv; Not in Kansas Anymore Dorthy. 2019 New Orleans, a coterei of neonates were tasked to recover a stolen artifact. Finding the thief was easy enough; a Voodoo witch was attempting to activate the artifact when the group arrives. A battle takes place and the witch is destroyed. Sounds great right? That is until the group exits the cave they killed her in and find a VERY VERY different New Orleans than the one they left. More like visiting Old relatives...like your great grandparents when they were your age. They now have to deal with very new way of living in 1862 New Orleans. At least the Prince is the same in her plantation house.
4. VtM 20th Aniv; College Experience is No Spring Break; The group are pre-embrace freshman students who received a 'Legacy Heritage' Scholarship. The program is so secretive that nobody could explain what the scholarships were for, but it was free college at Xavier University in 2019 New Orleans. The one catch? Night classes. But who cares when you get a tuition and free boarding right? Well the boarding may be a little more than what the students were expecting when it is discovered that the structure was built ontop of a satanic powersource. They will eventually discover their scholarships were provided due to very old relatives with special connections with special old time names in the city. It brings the term 'recruiting' to an entirely new level.
