IC: Elves of Evermeet.
Interest check: I have always wanted to play an only one race campaign so looking in the material I own I found the Elves of Evermeet campaign expansion for the Forgotten Realms. Evermeet is an island populated solely by elves and officially closed to any other race. My idea is all players are elven and behave in the elven way (obviously), the campaign revolve about the problems that could arise in the island and all threats that could endanger the peace of elves that live there, all characters are native and all of them know each other.
My intention is developing the campaing using the information provided by The Complete Book of Elves (PHBR8) and The Elves of Evermeet (FOR5), only the "flavor" and informative part, the game mechanics will work under the Fifth Edition rules.

IC: Elves of Evermeet.
Are you planning to include the 5th edition retcons of Eladrin and Shadar-kai being elves, too?

IC: Elves of Evermeet.
Could be interesting.  The tricky part might be making sure everyone is on the same page with "behaving in the elvish way".

I do not know how mechanically transfer that to 5e so I will stuck with PHB and official supplements subraces and I am not sure whether something about those specific elven subraces have been published, I have a lot of 5e material I have not read yet.
Third party and homebrew will be accepted in a case by case basis.

Re: IC: Elves of Evermeet.
Sun Elves and Moon Elves are High Elves. Wild Elves are Wood Elves. Sea Elves are in Mordenkainen's Guide.

Re: IC: Elves of Evermeet.
There is also the lytheri but they are wolf shifting elves. I don't think they recreated them for the new edition.
