Sci-Fi West Marches Kitbash w/ SWN:R as a Base
I wanna run a game that brings together my favorite elements of science fiction. Mutant rebels, alien warrior monks, time traveling cyborg assassins, interstellar robot empires, scientific marvels, unraveling the mysteries of the universe, exploring strange alien worlds. It would be a love letter to everything I think is cool about science fiction and RPGs. It would be along the lines of Stargate SG-1 and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (with a heavy Guardians of the Galaxy and Stranger Things influence), the players would be a group of scientists and soldiers, exploring the wider sector of space they inhabit, with somewhere between 12 and 20 players.
Is there any interest in playing/helping run this game?
I want to use Stars Without Number: Revised as a base since I know it so well, it’s designed to be super flexible, and it has the Faction system. I’ve already imported some aliens from Star Wars and mutants from Gamma World, I also want to use Flux at some point if the players want to reality hop, and some bits and bobs from GURPS 3E, does anyone have any ideas of other mechanics I could borrow from other games?
