I am not sure which forum is the best place to post this, I was thinking about GMs Wanted but this is really a Game mechanics/Character Generation question that could be targeted at GM's or Players so I will post here and apologize in advance if I am in the wrong forum.

I am in the process of running a Test Play for a set of rules I am cobbling together, largely based on Star Frontiers but also including elements of Boot Hill and GURPs.  I now have a handful of players working their way through some early scenarios to help test the combat system but I have had a couple of players register to join the game and then drop out during character generation.

As a result I am looking for some experienced RPoL players or GMs that would be interested in giving some feedback on what I have put together for Character Generation.

I would be interested in hearing more of your Character Generation ideas and to provide feedback.

Put it in the Players wanted, but also include in the title that you're looking for experienced GMs (and of course in the first post description).  You'll get the best traction there.

Now I am confused.  The moderator says this is the correct forum for this kind of post, however for people to offer the feedback I am looking for I would have to direct them to a game which I can't do here and then the feedback has to be posted here which also seems to be against the forum rules as any feedback is likely to reference the game which could then be construed as referencing or promoting a game in the wrong forum?

I gave up trying to understand the convoluted rules here in many cases.  Base line:  Here you talk about games you are proposing.

In Players Wanted you post the description of the game and have a link to said game.

You can link to a game that you have made that is also the one being proposed in this thread, however, you can't use this thread as an advertisement.

To be safe, I link to the the adverts I make in Players Wanted, because that isnt; a game and cannot be misconstrued as such.  And once linked, I let teh Players Wanted advert do all the remaining work of driving people to the game threads.

Trying to do the right thing is just getting too complicated.  If someone can delete this thread I will stick to discussing it with my current gaming group where we don't have to worry about breaching any rules.
