I'm interested! I run 2 Traveller 2e games and want to play in another one! I'm in a Pirates of Drinax game, but am willing to try another if need be. All of your ideas are interesting! LOVE Traveller!

I dislike merchant games because the speculative trade rules are so broken. I'd love an explorer game (bit like picard star trek - planet of the week), but I'm nothing if not flexible.

I've never played that module, but it looks great. As does any of those ideas.

Deepnight Revelations, an exploring adventure, was released today too. I'm up for anything, Ancients maybe?

I like Traveller, not Mindjammer.

It's little things like using MegaTraveller's task resolution system and the flux rules from Traveller5 (which uses the +5 to -5 range of 2D-7 in creative ways). ~ http://www.stormtiger.org/bob/...er_tasks_players.cgh

The Traveller edition of Mindjammer offers some neat ideas, though.

Regarding the type of campaign (thanks for asking :)), here are my preferences : - not the Frontier : every campaign I read take place in the Trojan Arm/Expanses... - Sources : no preference, since I've not heard that Published adventures were particularly remarkable... - I second butter78 in estimating the commerce rules are broken (you get rich too easily!) and am already playing in a military campaign started by Zagyg. That leaves the rest, which should not be limited to exploration and criminal! :) What about espionage, diplomacy, bounty/treasure-hunting, xeno-archeology and other mysteries? :) EDIT : or just drifter/hobo with a different kind of adventure on every planet :) - milieu : I'm new to Traveller, so I shall discover things in all :) - rules : I'm bat at rules ('had to look what your malus is when you don't have the skill) and it's so much less important in a pbf, so I don't have any preference either Hope it helps and thanks for the offer

I would prefer a cohesive "theme" going in personally. I've seen the "grab bag" fail too many times, but who knows?

That would be Deepnight Revelation or something from 1st edition made anew!

Military game where the ship and crew and sent on various exotic missions. The PCs are all members of a rock group on tour... except they are really undercover spies. Salvage company. Besides salvaging ships and wrecks and ruins and such, they also have to salvage reputations, careers, marriages, etc. Troubleshooters. Wherever there's trouble, the PCs will shoot it! Somewhat of a cross between a private detective and the Equalizer. These are all FTF games I've run successfully over the years. Each one provides an overlaying unity, plenty of opportunity for fun and variety.
