IC: Mobsters, Molls, and Murder
The only good thing about sitting in your office in April is that you're not sitting in your office in July. Unfortunately, someone forgot to tell Mother Nature.

An early heat wave has struck Los Angeles this day, April 18th, 1938, making you feel like a slow cooking pot roast. The only source of air comes from a rickety fan that sits on a file cabinet over your left shoulder--it may or may not run when you flick it on and some days, like today, it's on the lazy side and barely spins at all. The suffocating air in your office is merely being pushed around, saying hello to all four corners. Leaving a window open only lets escaping mosquitos and flies in from the sauna outside, hoping for a drop of water or an ounce of blood.

But then again, you've become used to having your blood spilled. You're a sleuth. It's here the phone rings...

* * *

And thus begins our two-fisted, hardboiled noir detective yarn. Checking for interest in a one-on-one game, that being you the player and me, the GM, slugging our way through bad guys, mobsters and molls, using the...

Mercenaries, Spies, and Private Eyes game system. We'll be focusing on the Private Eye part, of course. Originally published in 1983, it's recently received a bit of a facelift and has been rereleased. The game can accommodate multiple players, but each will be in their own private thread, having their own private adventure.

Any interest at all?

I love the genre, though I don't know anything of the system. Still, color me interested!

In reply to CrazyIvan777 (msg # 4):

Mercenaries, Spies, And Private Eyes (MSPE) uses the same mechanics as Tunnels And Trolls, pretty much.
