Encouraging to see so many quick replies.
So, my take on W&G is that it is far more simpler to run in person once everyone gets into a good sync with their rolls and shifting and spending wrath. It can be a little trickier in pbp but I've seen it work well before. Same kind of deal though, takes a bit to get into a rhythm and it can suck if there is constant turnover which as someone mentioned happens quite a bit with 40k pbp.
Once that rythm happens though, the game to me is more fun than the more theme specific systems like RT, OW, DH, etc...

There's a massive difference between people wanting a Ciaphas Cain style tongue in cheek game compared to a more cerebral Eisenhorn approach compared to a highly Space Marine themed hack and slash.
Agreed, Wrath & Glory opens up all possibilities depending on what tier the group starts at. I personally would prefer to not go higher than tier 2 for a new group in pbp but if everyone was really keen on a space marine hack and slash I could be down for a T3 hack and slash type sandbox.
I'm pretty open to anything though, I have several published scenarios that work well with the standard Imperium/Inquisition loyalists and another that works well with a more radical group (space pirates. xenos mercs. etc)
