IC: Mythras for beginners

I bought the Mythras core book a little while ago, and I'm excited to give the game a try but there is a lot to digest there (yes, the percentile system foundation is simple enough, but so many widgets to go with it).  So I thought the thing to do might be for me, as a GM who is new to the system, to run a game with players who are new to the system, and we'll all learn it together as we go.

I still need time to finish reading the rulebook, so it'll be a couple of weeks before I start the game; for now I just wanted to put out feelers to see who might be interested (and to give potential players time to read up on it if that's something you want to do, either the full book or the free quick start version - certainly not mandatory though).

Setting-wise, I have a homebrew fantasy world I intend to use, but don't let that scare you away.  I'll post a brief summary in the game once I set it up and then let the players vote on where we want to focus the campaign.

So, anyone want to give this a shot?

While very interesting, I think the level of granularity would make the game difficult to keep an active pace with.

That's certainly possible.  Some things might have to get shuffled around a bit for smoother pbp, but I know that only goes so far.  I am already thinking that I would set it to a flat 2AP to cut down on waiting for people to take their extra turn; ifanyone knows other good modifications to put in then I'm open to it.
