I've ran Exalted games on this site for over a decade, but fell out of it due to RL. I'm eager to get a chance at playing Exalted again, though, and I know that the only sure way of getting into an Exalted game is to run one yourself.

I'm intimately familiar with the Exalted franchise, but I haven't ran any Exalted Essence yet. I see this as an opportunity for me to test and learn the new system.

I'm still not sure what kind of story I would like to run, though. Feel free to provide suggestions.

I'd love the opportunity to play one of the more offbeat exalted types, like liminal or getimian, myself.

I haven't gotten to play in a game in forever. I am onboard for anything you get started.

Essence does a lot of what I want for exalted, streamlining the mechanics I like from 3rd edition and significantly cutting down on the charm bloat. I'd love to get involved in something like this.

I'd be fine with most premises, but I think it'd be nice to do a mashup of the standard exalted fare (creation-shaking champions walking the earth and shaking things up), maybe somewhere in the thousand rivers area or even the dreaming sea (my favorite addition to the world), but with access to the full breadth of chosen afforded to us by essence over 3rd edition.

Solars are my favorite Exalt types, even when all the others are playable.

I think Solars appeal to so many because their such a fun power trip and so clearly defined. I mean who DOESN'T want to be Gilgamesh, Robin Hood and John Mclain all rolled into one?

I'd prefer a Solar or Lunar, but really would play anything to get into an Exalted game.

As far Directions I always gravitate to the South.

I've been thinking about maybe having the game start out in Whitewall. Mixed groups work well there as "monster slayers." Whitewall in 3E is less forgiving of Anathema, though, but I think Solars and other Anathema-Exalts can be justified if they use the "monster slaying" to earn favor. Thoughts on this idea?

I mean, I like Exalted, tried running an Essence game on another board, but mostly just had trouble wrapping my head around the pre-release document, even if I largely liked what I saw.  I'd play in any event.

I think that sounds like a solid foundation, gives the group something to focus around to start/build a circle identity on. I don't think the Anathema unfriendliness is a huge issue, honestly. First, this is your version of creation, so it's as unfriendly as you want it to be. I'm not going to call you out for minor diversions from canon. Second, I've always viewed the tension between discretion and otherworldly power as one of the principal conflicts for all of the "Anathema" exalted.
