AD&D 1st Edition

Temple of Elemental Evil
Scourge of the Slave Lords
Queen of the Spiders Series (Against the Giants, The Drow Series, Queen of the Demonweb Pits)

My first AD&D game is pretty popular and I have learned quite a bit now about how to manage games and players better using RPoL.  So I thought I might see if the old classic campaign series would be as popular.

Any takers?

In reply to CaptainHellrazor (msg # 1):

I actually just got back on RPOL last week looking for another 1st Ed game, so probably yes.

Very possibly if you allow character classes from the "Best of Dragon" Magazine and in particular Volume III

Definitely would love to take part in these series'.  Great choice of 'super modules'!

I don't consider Dragon Magazine as canon in my universe, largely because not everyone has access to them, giving some players an unfair advantage.  Also the size of the playing group will determine whether I will use all the options from Unearthed Arcana.  I find with the older modules, like the ones proposed for this campaign, that things like Weapon Specialization can unbalance the modules dramatically in the players favour.

Considering the challenges for a party in these adventures, as well as the drop out rate for new players, I would want at least 6-8 active players before beginning this campaign.  I would accept up to a dozen or more, especially if the bulk are single classed characters.

So you don't consider a fix to one of the PHB classes, which I'd in effect unplayable beyond level 5 worthwhile...
In effect you've provided me with the answer  so I wish you luck in finding players.

Would love to play this campaign. I never have preconceived notions/preferences about my own character, so I'm flexible in that regard. Whatever the dice rolls dictate.

Interested in playing in the campaign.  Single class minded option

I'd like to get in as well. Once I know a bit more about the setting, I'll get something together.

This looks like potentially six players, if I can get one or two more interested players then I will register a game.  Thanks for the response folks.
