Interested. I only have the 2nd edition PHB along with the Fighter & Ninja books. More into B/X and BECMI.

Nice!  It's fine about the books, the group I've been running had no prior 2e experience.  PHB is the main thing, I don't have an extensive library so no worries.  We'll be keeping things pretty straightforward.  I'm a few weeks away from having everything ready, but I'll keep you in the loop.

OK. Keep us in the loop. You may have more applicants once you open the game up. That would be having an RTJ (Request to Join), posting an opening announcement, & then listed in Looking for Players.

I would also be interested (I have several of the splat books, but their non-use is hardly a deal breaker).  Would characters be starting at 1st level?

Nice.  Yes, starting at first level.  I'm currently polishing up a few things before I open the game up, (namely pantheon, house rules and char creation threads).  Will prob need a couple weeks to do a map or two then it's ready to go.  Will definitely keep you in the loop.

Just an update for anyone checking back in...

Work is progressing on the game.  I have pantheon almost done, including sphere and weapons/armor info.  Map is nearly complete, just have to color and letter it.  I have extensive notes drawn up for house rules, I just have to polish them up and post a thread.  Hoping to knock these thing off by the weekend.

The last bit is the character creation thread and character sheets.  I am considering making templates for each class and maybe a generic one.  The thinking is to have sheets ready to assign as players join game, then you can fill them in as you create characters.  This is my first game I am running on RPol, so if there is an easier way I am all ears lol.  Anyway, that's where we're at... getting pretty excited!

Depending on how specialized the player types are, I just added end comments to my general B/X one. You just deleted what was not used. But B/X is fairly simple anyway. Spellsheets are as complicated as you want them to be. Does RPOL have sample ones ?? They are in one of the obscure headers ...

There are a bunch of D&D character sheets floating around, probably no need to design specific class ones as it is easy enough to strip out what you don't need on a general sheet.  Note:  Use the TrueType "<tt>" command to make it fixed width so things line up properly.
