[IC] Dark Matter - Palladium Homebrew

Potentially a stupid idea on my part..
So I've recently found and been binge watching Dark Matter, which strangely, at least to my mind would make a good RPG campaign.

If you know anything about the series, or have watched it there's no real point in you reading any further as you know what is going to happen...

Still here? I intend to use a (heavily) modified Palladium system..

Not put you off yet? The 6 characters will be pre-gens (for somewhat obvious reasons)..
You get to pick one of the 6 based solely on the outline description..

If you're still here..
The setting is semi-hard Sci-FI, semi-dystopian mid 27Century. Earth has colonized the stars. Their is a Galactic Government, with a Galactic Navy, but its something of a toothless dog.
The real power lies with the Mega-Corps (sort of original Shadowrun esque), predominately 5 of them approx with about another 12 holding the remainder. There are a few independent worlds but not many, most can't stand up to the Mega-Corps. There is the usual underworld, mercs, and pirates, and the usual resistance factions.

The game starts with the 6 characters waking from stasis on board a ship...
They have no memory of who they are, how they got there, and no memory of their past..
Each retains certain knowledge pertaining to their skill set..
The names, at least in the series, they give themselves, is based on the order they awake from stasis, and is how I'm going to refer to them in the outline below..

One - Male - approx age: late 20s - sort of the 'Face' character from the A-Team. Negotiator/diplomat. Seems to favour the underdog and doing the right thing by them.

Two - Female - approx age: late 20s - Leader/Ships Captain - has basic familiarity with how to operate and fly the ship - pretty good in Hand-to-Hand combat

Three - Male - approx age: late 30s - You archetypal mercenary grunt - outwardly only concerned with himself and money.

Four - Male - Japanese heritage : late 20s - He's the Martial Artist, thinker, who doesn't say a lot.

Five - Female - Teenager age: maybe15 : She has a real gift with Electronics/Gadgets. She suffers with dreams which are not her own.

Six - Male - Negro heritage : late 30s : He's the stoic character/father figure. Very much into doing the right thing. Shuttle pilot amongst other things.

There may be times where I will need to potentially direct a given character to take a certain course of action (which is dictated by their past)
There will be scope, well potential scope, a certain points to add additional specific characters..

The question is, is there enough/any interest for me to take this further?

I would be down to try it, but I have zero experience with the show and barely any with Palladium.

In reply to timpantallroth (msg # 2):

Not knowing the show is sort of key .. if you've watched the series then you know what is going to happen, which sort of defeats the point.

[IC] Dark Matter - Palladium Homebrew

As someone who has never even heard of the show, and is familiar with palladium (or at least used to be as its been a while since I've played in any games that use it) I'd also be interested.

The broad sketches of the setting sound great and the opening character premise is one I've seen done a time or two in other games and it has a lot of potential to have and share some interesting experiences.

I'd be down for taking whatever character might be left and/or luck of the draw.  The general archetypes are all along the broad lines of things I've done and enjoyed previously.
