I was wondering if the interest would be out there for me to run a game of Lady Blackbird?

Read the entire document - it'll only take 10 minutes and gives you a pretty good idea how it all works.

Characters that must be filled would be Captain Vance, Lady Blackbird (Natasha), her bodyguard Naomi and either Kale Arkham or Snargle. If possible though the full compliment of 5 would be awsum and makes playing much nicer.

So anyone fancy this? If so I'll throw up a Wanted - Players request later.

I'd be down. I've always wanted to give Lady Blackbird a go as a player. I've hacked it in real life to run a game on a Star Wars setting that went brilliantly.

I have to admit that I'm intrigued as well, it looks like it could be quite fun.

I might be up for this game, don't know who I would play, and don't care either, but I would want to see how it turns out.

Which brings up an interesting point regarding the pregen characters, is there any flexibility with them?  For instance changing the gender (in case the male:female split isn't 3:2, unless someone doesn't mind cross-gender roleplaying)?

I would assume that Lady Blackbird and Capt. Vance would need to be opposite genders (even if perhaps reversed) since the potential/budding romance between them could be a key aspect of the game (then again, in this modern era I suppose there's no reason a same gender romance can't arise).

I am always up for a game of Lady Blackbird.

A bit about my background with LB - Over on a different site I watched a game start to unfold from the very beginning and then I took over the role of Kale from shortly after it started as the player baled. Unfortunately the game never got to the conclusion of actually meeting Uriah Heap, but we got pretty much to him before others dropped out and the game was unplayable with two of us.

I loved the way all our characters played the cast. I also "looked in on" another game where the cast were played in such polar opposites to ours that it seemed bizarre to me, but I'm happy to role with all your takes on things. I'm certainly not about to lay down the law and say "you two have to get it on!" - in our game the frison between Vance and Blackbird was always purely simmering under the surface and nothing much else.  Also I made it obvious that Kale was interested in the butch woman that is Naomi :)

That actually happened in a brief demo I played in of Lady Blackbird once, which is how I was introduced to the game. The tension between Vance and Blackbird was subtle, but Naomi and Kale flirted with each other much more overtly.

Right, the game is set up, title of "Bifford's Lady Blackbird". Feel free to RTJ me and we can worry about char choices in the OOC thread.
