Packing her personal belongings and gear up she moves it to her new room. She Looks over to Lt. Cherkovski. She barely makes eye contact as she speaks; "So which bunk is mine sir?"

Once her things were packed and gathered, Miriana took them to her new room. Upon entering she noticed Skyrah and gave her a brief nod, before glancing about the room to see the bed that hadn't been taken yet, and to determine from the layout what section of it was considered hers for her stuff.

In reply to Michelle Grey (msg # 45):

Kaarle as expected was in little mood to discuss sleeping arrangements however when Michelle spoke up he looked at her as felt somewhat guilt that he he was already setting his belongings down near the bottom bunk.

"I think I will just take this bunk unless you have a preference?" he says to her his focus returning to unpacking his things and claiming what little space the two had to share. He wasn't greedy or anything and made sure to divide up whatever storage available between the two of them.  His reasoning for the bottom bunk was more selfish then anything... he'd promised not long ago to have Doshi's back and that hadn't played out so well, now he had another to watch over and he wasn't about to let that same mistake play out again.

  A slight curl appears on the edge of her lips with his response. She could tell he was not in the mood to speak. So she kept he response short and to the point. "The top bunk is perfect sir."

  Like Kaarle she kept her stuff to her space. the only pictures she puts up is the post of Alica Silverstone in Batgirl suit. A picture of her and Lt. Murphy, a picture of her when she was thirteen with commander Rockatansky on the top of her bunk.

Thirteen thought about the question for a moment. "I suppose science redefines what one expects of age." He replied unsure of the answer himself.

  Her smile faded as she tried to figure out the meaning behind thirteen's statement. "I do not understand how science is suppose to redefine the age of military consent."

Thirteen smiled sadly. "Consent is not necessary for a weapon."

  Her head tilts slightly and her smile returns as she thinks thirteen is trying to play a human trick on her. Her voice let those who might hear, know she was calling his bluff as she playfully said; "Are you saying that the Hundred or so kids assigned to the fleet on Freedom Station were conscripted into the Expeditionary Force? That would go against everything We were told on Garuda!"  She extended her hand out and offer the young soldier a wrapped chocolate bar. "Really, how did you and the other eleven kids on the Gambit bypass the minimum age requirements for military service?"

"Ah, yes, hmm, being a civilian, I guess they did not know whether to assign you officer's quarters or enlisted quarters. It is customary for Earth military to put many personnel together in shared accommodations so, unfortunately, there really are not any private quarters available. However, if you like, you could share my quarters; I will simply move my extra light fixtures to within my bunk." Some realization then seems to dawn upon Cerise "Oh,sorry, I just realized; if genders are supposed to remain segregated in your culture, we could rearrange the officer quarters a bit; I could have Lt. Grey stay with me, and you could bunk with Lt. Cherkovski. Whichever arrangement you prefer, I will fill the paperwork for it."

Skyrah looked up towards Miriana a moment, and considered her for a brief moment. "I have not chosen which drawer or locker I wish to have yet. If you do not mind I would like the lower bunk." Skyrah said calmly, her voice the usual flat tone she carries.

Thirteen chuckled. "I don't even remember what happened a couple days ago let alone how I got into military service."

He sighed and stood back up, moving to the window of the room. "I am probably the worse person around to ask about that. However I got here, whatever happened to me, it caused me to forget most things."

Kaarle, having settled into his new room, sat on his bunk to think for a bit about his new roommate.  He hadn't been the nicest to her during his short command in the previous battle.  He shook his head trying not to dwell on it.  All that has been said and done was moot at this point as he continued to watch over her.  She was so small compared to himself, he wondered how she made it through basic training...  He shook that thought from his mind as well, clearly she was a skilled pilot, and while not much younger then himself he was surprised to see her already in her own Veritech years before he'd even stepped foot in one.

As she continued to care for her things he stood and said to her..."Is there anything you need a hand with?" he managed to stammer out, whatever bravado and confidence he had once maintained now long gone.  Obviously she didn't need his help with anything but he didn't want to be rude neither, this...everything about this place and their situation were new to him and he had no clue how he should be feeling at this very moment.

Iphigenia listened carefully to what Commander Rockatansky had to say about the children and just as fast she was dismissed from the commander's office.

While walking back to her room to meet her new roommates Iphigenia thinks to herself "Maybe I could possibly get access to each of their sealed files so as to make a better judgement of whether or not they would be fit for duty, or need to be relieved of their duty." Then she said out loud without thinking "They are already losing it."

  She smiles again, "So what is your MOS soldier?" she asked.

Matt made his way through the Gambit as he searched for Lt. Cerise and the quarters to which he'd been assigned. He kept his duffel bag of his personal effects and his clothes slung over his shoulder as he did his best not to disturb any one.

As he made his way down another corridor and turned a corner, he thought he spied his commanding officer speaking with a Perytonian. He stood near by as he waited for a break in their conversation, only responding when he is called on.

"Oh, I am a close combat specialist." Thirteen replied and smiled imagining how that likely made that much less sense to Sillia.

  As she was putting the last couple of items up in her locker, she jumps as Kaarle steps up and speaks, dropping the black shining object onto the floor. "No sir, I am good sir." She says blushing as she quickly grabs the garb and shoves it into her locker. She quickly turns to face Kaarle, she fights to keep her eyes up off the floor. "Sir if there is anything I can do to make room-mating with me easier just let me know."

He looked curiously at the black garb she quickly hid away and simply shrugged.  There wasn't anything he could think of to be honest.  Moving back to his bunk he lay back down staring up at the bottom of her bunk.  "There isn't really anything to worry about except keeping our clothes separate and the quarters clean" he said as lightheartedly as he could.

"Should probably go check on Delta's and make sure the maintenance crews aren't mucking things up..." he said with a sigh, all he really wanted to do right now was sleep, but that would have to wait...

Standing up again he moved to the doorway and started to head for the Veritech hangar.

 She smiles at his remarks, i do not think we will have issues with clothing sir. she giggles thinking of what kaarle would look like in her dress uniform. ill make sure not to leave a mess sir.

  As Kaarle gets up and heads to the hanger, she falls in to go examin her own veritech. As the walk she ask with a voice of complete confidence; "Sir before our last outting we were told we could request any mecha we desired, I'd like a vf/a-6zx if at all possible sir. Black with yellow marking. Im not sure who to send my request to, but as you are squadron leader. I thought i should ask you sir."

 close combat, that sounds interesting. are you a hunter Thirteen?  I'd bet you would enjoy the hunts on Guarda. maybe one day you can visit. i bet my sister would love you. I think she is about your age. she said teasing him. She was happy thirteen was interacting with her, most the kids kept to themselves.

- "That will be fine, i have no preference on it myself."

She opened a locker at random and put her bag into it, without unpacking. if she would need to move it later, at least she wouldn't be wasting any more time than strictly necessary.

As they walked he started to relax a bit more.  He thought about her question before realizing something... his promotion was a field promotion and nothing more.   The battle was over, assignments would change, and for all he knew he wouldn't be the permanent replacement for Doshi.  It could be anyone at this point since he shared the same rank as many others on board save for the fact that he was probably the only marine in the lot of them.

As the thought dwelled he blurted out somewhat surprisingly and with a humility he wasn't accustomed to..."we can check with the quarter master once on deck and I'll sign off on anything you desire.   Assuming I'm in position to do so"

Turning a corner on to the flight deck he stopped her with a gentle touch on her shoulder...  "while the field promotion hasn't been rescinded,  neither has it been made official... I'll do what I can if I can.   Until then just call me kaarle or kchek, this sir nonsense is killing me" he said with a smile.

"Hunter... yes, I supposed you could say that." Thirteen said as his thoughts drifted for a moment. Was that was I was here to do? Was I tracking down a target?

He realized he was still being talked to and broke his fruitless thinking, catching enough of the end to get the gist of what was being said.

"Visiting other terrains would be interesting. I don't often get time to appreciate where I am... at least, not that I remember."

He looked back out the window and tapped at it with his fingers then sighed.

"My head must still be a little foggy. I still need to ask for my equipment for this mission."

  Sillia face contorted as she heard about Thirteens lack of gear. She jumps up and say; "Com on kid we need to get you out fitted before we are sent out and Im forced to keep you covered non stop and the others are killed from the lack of cover support." She smirks.

  With that she takes Thirteen to the weapon masters. "Sir we need to get the kids outfitted at once."

  She freezes as she feels Kaarle's touch on her shoulder. She had not thought about the field promotion being an issue. In fact the whole mission seemed to be a nightmare to her. Cerise and the commander had not removed him his command of Wraith squadron.

  "Yes sir, I mean Kchek." With that she follows him into the hanger. She had trouble hiding he giddiness over the thought of the 6ZX.
